Great stay
Our stay was excellent. The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was is good condition, clean, and very comfortable. Even the breakfast was tasty. Overall I've seen a decline in hotel quality at this price point and I was so happy to see that this was not the case at Country Inn in Asheville.

OK, BUT NOT GREAT
The hotel was in need of some updates. There was an odd smell in our room that I could never figure out. It smelled like a chemical smell. While the hotel was not filthy, they were definitely lax in taking care of the floors. There was discarded pieces of paper and food wrappers in parts of the hotel (stairwell, corner, next to front desk) that were not cleaned up the entire time we were there. In their defense they were in one of the hardest hit areas of Helene. The room served its purpose.

We stayed for a trip to see our UNCA student. The room was very clean, the beds were great, the public areas were decorated well and also very clean. Parking did feel a little odd at first because you park to the sides, but there was plenty of parking, and there are side doors to enter through so it was actually a closer walk. The main thing that was convenient to us is that it is about a 3 minute drive to UNCA so it was easy to drive back and forth to see him, then when we wanted to go to dinner, we could easily pick him up, then drive to our destination rather than hitting traffic both ways. Not a lot of restaurants around that we found- a couple of fast food places-but we had planned our dinner reservations already so it wasn’t a problem. Definitely a wonderful deal for such a great room, and the perfect location for what we were in town for.

I have family in Asheville. My partner and I stayed at Country Inn after the hurricane hit, during Thanksgiving with my extended family. It was very nice after a 10 hour car ride to be able to have a complimentary hot meal at the hotel. I loved all of the amenities the hotel provided. My partner especially loved the gym & pool. Everything was clean and the bed was super comfortable! We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Fantastic Holiday weekend in Asheville
Everything was wonderful, but the heat didn't come on the morning of 11/30 when it was very cold outside. We tried everything and it didn't work. We were leaving, so we let it go. Aside from that, it was wonderful stay!

Das Positive: Es gab genügend Parkplätze. Check-in und -out waren sehr einfach. Es gab Einwegbehälter, in die man die Speisen vom Frühstücksbuffet einpacken und mitnehmen konnte. Das Negative: Das Hotel war nicht sehr sauber. Die Teppiche waren fleckig und eklig. Es roch im Hotel wie in einer Turnhalle und der Gestank von verschwitzten Socken hat einen beim Betreten der Suite fast umgehauen. Die Möbel waren sehr abgenutzt und gebraucht. Der Duschvorhang war nicht lang genug, um das Wasser davon abzuhalten, den Badezimmerboden zu überfluten. Die Lüftungsanlage verursachte einen fürchterlichen Luftzug, besonders am Bett. Die Steckdosen neben dem Bett funktionierten nicht. Das Frühstück bestand nur aus Kohlenhydraten und null Eiweiß, mit nur einer glutenfreien Option. Es waren auch keine Milchalternativen verfügbar. Am ersten Morgen unseres Aufenthalts gab es insgesamt 3 Beutel Schwarztee zur Auswahl, am zweiten Tag gar keinen mehr. Insgesamt war es eine enttäuschende, mittelmäßige Erfahrung.

The hotel is operating under difficult conditions in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and the lack of potable water. Still, I was surprised that they did not provide any written or posted instructions/explanations about the quality of water coming from the tap and the very limited level of services that guests could expect. The hotel also appeared to need a thorough cleaning and refurbishment.
