Stayed here with my lady only one night, as i needed a place for the night in Aswan before flying to Cairo. But boy did i wish we stayed longer though!
There's two types of travelers, one that likes everything modern and orderly and (perhaps a bit sterile and bland), and another who likes going to off-the-beat-path type of places, willing to explore, even if they have to wait a while longer for breakfast because the pace of life is a bit more relaxed, likes colorful rooms and lot of artwork. If you are the latter, and don't mind that the only way to get to/from this place is by boat (there's always one waiting), then definitely do consider staying here! I am sooo glad I did, and was kicking myself once i got to Cairo (yegh!)
Plus we made a friend there, Eslam, who was wonderful and we chatted a bit and even went swimming with. I think he either owns the place or his family does. He speaks good English (which is always a relief to find when you speak no Arabic (except for random works like Thank you and Donkey).
We arrived late after sunset and had to leave at sunrise, so definitely we lament not getting to enjoy being here longer. The room was very quite big and very very peaceful (couldn't say that about Cairo). It was also very clean, and the bathroom looked newly renovated with a shower-room design.
Really liked this place. The Nubian people are very warm and friendly. You can tell they are kind and a good peoples. I would stay at the Nubian beach again!
