Fabulous lake view
We arrived, had to carry our suitcase up the stairs as no lift, room freezing cold, maintenance man came turned radiator up but didn't work very well, reported another two times, Great outdoor hot tub but the mixed changing room to small to accommodate the number of guests, our bathroom floor had cracked tiles, and the television remote control did not work correctly, cobwebs on the ceiling but the restaurant staff very professional food excellent, would stay again but different room.

Although the location isn't very convenient, the hotel rooms offer great view of lake and mountain. It is hoped that guests will be able to get connected to wifi even in rooms in the future.

View is very good. But if you can't drive you and no much money you have to take consideration
It's far away to get downtown and the bus is very infrequently(in Sunday there is no bus operating) But the view of hotel is very very good. And the reception is very kind and helpful.

Moved to the Lakes hotel 5 star due to beach hill work carried out the Lakes was very nice 5 star hotel excellent the only thing makes it a 4 star on my option is no tissue box in bedroom of tips teabags instead of twinnings English breakfast tea not available and breakfast help your self not served to to like a 5 star hotel would to mse fresh to order this was made like a 4 star hotel.

The hotel was comfortable and had wonderful views of the lake . The decor had a Scottish feel and was clean. We were booked to have a Snug but ended up having a classic double. So spacious a d comfortable. For breakfast we had a lot of choice including a full Engish. Staff were polite and helpful. One tip: when you arrive at the hotel, park in front and unload your bags before parking in the car park. Otherwise you will have to carry your bags up stairs to reception. On the whole a lovely hotel close to Lake Windemere. Will definitely stay here again.

Mixed stay - Beech Hill Hotel & Spa
Staying of Bonfire Night as a family of 4. We stayed in one of the family rooms and there was an overwhelming smell of damp in the room as soon as we walked in. I brought this up with the hotel team and their manager offered to spray the room. I do believe that the hotel must have known, there is no way that smell hasn’t been discussed with them before. Spraying the room, did little to mask the smell, my family had a terrible nights sleep but as we were there for only 1 night, we decided we didn’t want to ruin our weekend. Breakfast was very nice, food cooked to order and tasty. Staff at the bar were very friendly and good hosts. Overall, I think for the price hotels now charge to stay and with it being bonfire night there’s always a surcharge, the quality of service as a customer, one should receive should be much higher. I felt we could be been treated better by the hotel, maybe moved to another room or something. Personally as someone who stays in hotels across the country on a weekly basis, it’s not a place I’d go back to based on our experience.

The hotel was easy to find, being on the main road to Bowness, it was well signposted but still keep an eye out as it comes upon you quickly. There is plenty of parking on the front but more convenient a large carpark behind. There is a lot of work upgrading the outside infront of rooms that should be lovely. Inside the hotel reception is in the older part but has very nice seating a bar and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room had a large kingside bed, a flat screen TV, plenty of draws, wardrobe and dressing table, the bathroom was of good size with shower over the bath although the shower screen had the rubber bit missing of the bottom so you have to be careful not to get water all over, also the towel rail was on ALL the time so very hot as was the radiator in the room, it was cold outside and having a warm room was welcome but it was just too hot whilst sleeping. We didn't eat at the restaurant so could not coment, but the breakfast was very nice with plentiful continental offerings and the full English was also very nice. We didn't use the spa facilities either. Overall a lovely 2 night stay
