Recent stay was great
This hotel or “guest house” as the locals call it is very simple. As many places in Maafushi, the lobby is a sand floor which makes since sonthey just take instead of trying to keep all the sand out. Our room was clean, bed was very comfortable, 2 showers - 1 inside next to the toilet and one outside. Breakfast for 3 days consisted of 3 pieces of toast, a fried egg shaped into an omelet, and sausage (a cut up hotdog). WiFi was decent for limited browsing or WhatsApp. Not a ritz or even a holiday inn but we would definitely stay again. You can’t beat the price and the staff even with limited English was friendly and helpful.

Glad I stayed here!
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel: it was 'small' (had 5-6 rooms to rent?) and therefore didn't have a 'big hotel' feel. The staff were always present and therefore could help out with any issues. My room was clean, big, and had many shelves/chair/closet to store my belongings. It is close to everything, yet away from the 'main drag'. I enjoyed the outdoor shower!

Una vacanza così non è vacanza
Siamo arrivati a Maafushi il 12/4 dopo 27 ore circa di viaggio  (due scali: uno a Jedda di 7.5 ore e uno a Colombo di 2 circa). Molto provati dal volo abbiamo optato per il traghetto da 25 dollari per il trasferimento da Male a Maafushi, anche perché, alla richiesta di informazioni a riguardo, fatta al proprietario della guesthouse, non abbiamo mai ottenuto alcuna risposta. Il Royal Pearl Inn è una guesthouse composta da 6 stanze, molto basica e modesta ma eravamo preparati a questo quindi, pur avendo prenotato la camera Deluxe (che a questo punto non capiamo quale sia) accettiamo una semplicissima stanza matrimoniale senza finestre. Essendo arrivati nel pomeriggio e avendo prenotato con trattamento di mezza pensione, la sera ci siamo presentati per cenare ma nessuno sembrava averlo segnalato e ci siamo accontentati di un piatto di riso. La mattina successiva ci siamo svegliati alle ore 7 a causa delle martellate sul muro e del rumore delle seghe circolari che arrivavano dal cantiere adiacente al muro della nostra stanza. Ci siamo alzati per fare colazione (a buffet), composta da fagioli al sugo, uova sode, wurstel, fette di pane con burro e marmellata e tè. Nessuna possibilità di avere altro e così è stato per le 4 mattine successive...dopodiché ad un certo punto non è stato preparato nemmeno più il buffet. Probabilmente perché le camere occupate erano poche. Considerato il risveglio traumatico, abbiamo parlato da subito con uno dei due ragazzi che lavorano per la guesthouse

Very warm hospitality, very Kind owner
The owner Imma, his cousin and their staff where extremely kind and helpful. They give that feeling of being with family or friends during your stay in this hotel. They picked us from the jetty once we arrived on Maafushi. We took the family or deluxe room that was spacious enough with 3 beds and 2 showers (one was open shower), rooms are clean and well isolated (is is a new hotel). Food was good especially the "Chillifish" dish (not sure about the spelling ^^). The beach in front of the hotel wasn't a Bikini beach but we enjoyed snorkeling there with the owner (Snorkeling equipment can be used for free from the hotel, don't forget to take some bread to feed the fishes ^^). The Bikini beach was on the other side but it is just a very short walking distance since the island is quite small.(We didnt have the chance to visit the bikini beach actually since we were going almost everyday on half days tours that I strongly recommend), prices were relatively cheaper compared to the other hotels in front of Bikini beach so it is up to your budget but if you are just looking for a calm and clean place for your stay with nice owner to talk to and get to know more about all aspects of life in Maldives then I do recommend this hotel. They organize also different activities (half days trips, sunset fishing, water activities, etc...). Miss them alot and hope I will have the chance to visit again.

Al ROYAL PEARL INN abbiamo avuto un eccellente soggiorno. l'isola di Maafushi ti permette di vivere la vera quotidianità dei propri abitanti, i quali sono persone semplici ma molto educate e rispettose, sempre disponibili e sorridenti. Se volete vivere una vera esperienza alle Maldive senza spendere una fortuna venite qui.Mr Mohamed e lo staff vi organizzeranno tutte le escursioni dallo snorkel al sandbank e se proprio vi manca il Resort potrete godere anche di questa esperienza!A special thanks to Superman😀and hope to come back soon

Vi sconsiglio vivamente di alloggiare al royal pealr Inn poiché é circondato da spazzatura,il posto non é così accogliente e tanto meno il personale poco organizzato,la colazione é pessima,il personale dorme quando vuole ed é capitato che noi ci siamo svegliate e siamo rimaste senza colazione,potrebbero migliorare tantissime così,Maafushi non é l'isola delle Maldive che tutti pensano,non é il paradiso che si vede nelle foto,se dovete fare un viaggio lungo alloggiate da qualche altra parte oppure cambiate isola (Maafushi é un'isola locale)

Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Meerblick, was natürlich eine tolle Aussicht ist. Personal sehr hilfsbereit und auch das Frühstück war ok.
