Breakfast was not up to Best Western standards. No orange juice, no yoghurt, no fruit. The halls were not clean. The room itself was great, though.

Clean, just worn and in need of updates.

We have stayed here a few times for events at the State Fairgrounds. The rooms are clean but worn and they always seem to have a parking lot full of building materials that never quite make it into the hotel. The rooms are as clean as they can get them, it's just an older hotel. I DO like it when we get a room with an interior and exterior door.

Complimentary breakfast was OK but no coffee in the breakfast area. The hotel hallway had a strange offensive smell, can't describe it. No stopper in the bathroom sink. While shaving, a nice sized spider dropped out of nowhere into the sink. An attention getter! The backdoor has a sign that says it is locked after 9 pm, nope! Never locked. I won't stay there on my next trip to Huron.

I stay here occasionally. The slamming doors at the inside entries into the hallways slam. It is a rude awakening. These have been like this for several years. Time to repair them. The shower floor doesn't drain all the way. Other than that it is a nice facility.

Best Western Huron SD

The room felt run-down and neglected. The lamp connected to the light switch at the door had no bulb, and the lamp on the nightstand had blue electrical tape around the base. The television, refrigerator and microwave all were plugged into a six-plug extension which was dangling in the air. We thought that might have overloaded the circuit, creating a fire hazard. There were insufficient electrical outlets in the room, including none at the work desk where guests could plug in computers and phones.

The hotel was nice overall. Nothing fancy, but a decent place for the night. My only complaint is the fact that they don't have an elevator. It's only 2 floors, but it is not fun carrying lots of luggage upstairs.

Mirror needed repair to frame. No tissues. Remote was low on battery. No pool but was advertised on site, and hot tub. Coffee was very good! Staff were friendly

Overall this property was okay! The room and the hotel smelled funky and we tried to use air freshener but it just kept coming back. The room was kind of run down with broke tile around the jet tub and mirror in the bathroom was falling apart. But it was clean other than that and quiet! Just wish it had a pool as well. Also spa was not available.

We did not stay, the hotel did not correspond to the description in your website. Thes manager was nice enough to apologize and suggested that we better go to another hotel,what we did. He made it so that we could be refunded. You should be more serious

Everything was fine with the property except I got bit by bed bugs. I checked the bed before sleeping in it and I didn’t see signs of bed bugs but when I woke up, I had bites on me.

If you plan on doing business here, stay far away from this property. I had 3 employees staying at this property for just under a week. The initial stay was for 3 days and then it was extended to a week. I was called on a Sunday by the front desk manager threatening to call the cops on my employees for not coming down to sign paperwork when the rooms were extended earlier that week. He proceeded to tell me that he had called their rooms and they had not responded (they were working) and then told me he had called my office line at 11 p.m. the previous night and couldn’t get a hold of me so he was very frustrated. He also said that he had canceled the prepaid Expedia reservation and expected me to provide him with another credit card for the rooms to be paid for. Sorry, but that’s not my problem either. There was no point in canceling the reservation and since you canceled it, it’s the hotel’s responsibility to contact Expedia to rectify the situation. The entire phone call, this man was rude, unprofessional and threatening. I arranged for my employees to immediately leave the following day and moved to a different hotel who appreciates our business far more than this one does. Especially for anyone in a professional situation like mine, I warn you to stay far away from this property. Worst experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been in business for 15 years. Yikes.
