We started our stay by checking in remotely with the help of the hotel service, who provided us with the door code. For the first two days, we were given a small room. We accepted it, assuming that was our only option. However, the room was cramped, especially with a crib placed haphazardly in the path. The crib was old and uncomfortable for our baby, so we had to let him sleep in our bed. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
The worst issue was the air conditioner. It was old, emitted a dusty odor, and was extremely loud. Sleeping was difficult, but with temperatures reaching 37°C, we had no choice but to use it. On the second night, around midnight, we had to turn off the AC so the baby could sleep, but afterward, we couldn’t turn it back on. We had to call the service due to the intense heat. They offered us a new room, and to our surprise, it was bigger, even though it was the same package and cost as the first room. It’s frustrating that they initially placed a family with a crib in such a small room. The second room was better in size, but the bathroom and AC had the same issues.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families or for people who have trouble sleeping with a noise like a truck in the room.
The only good things were the helpful and available service, and the convenient location close to restaurants, transportation, shops, Vatican City, etc.
