Meh

When I arrived there was a dried up, used wash cloth left in the bathroom - if that was there, what other shortcuts did they take when supposedly "cleaning" the bathroom and room. On my last day there, there was an odor of vomit infused heat activated decades old garbage and a liquid path of something disgusting extending all the way from the top floor decking and down two sets of stairs. When I mentioned these things at the front desk no one seemed to care either time.

Seabonay Stay

Stay was okay. Liked how close it was to the beach, shops, and boardwalk. However, when arrived could not find front desk easily and directions were not clear. Went into room and found piles of sand in one of the windows, and curtains had ink/paint stains. Also, half of the outlets did not work in the room. Ventilation in bathroom was very poor. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I’ll be back

3rd time we’ve stayed at this hotel and will continue to come back! Not the ritz but definitely not a hole in the wall either. Right on the beach. Comfy beds, clean room.

Damp and smelly

Room 105 had a horrible DAMP MOLDY smell. Room was so damp the floor was wet the chair seat was damp the covers were damp and within the first day all of my clothes were damp. Tried turning the bathroom fan on thinking that would help but it didn’t work either. The smell was so bad when I was in n the room I left the door wide open as much as I could.

Good enough

Pros: - Location. It's right at the end of the boardwalk so practically beach front. - Parking included, plenty, and felt safe. - We didn't use the pool but it looked nice - Didn't seem like there were bedbugs. We didn't look thoroughly and I never put my stuff on soft surfaces but I don't have any bites. Cons: - We booked an "oceanfront" room, but it wasn't worth it because our windows were tiny and it's a motel so we didn't have a private balcony to open a door to. Not a big deal, just something to consider. - Poor ventilation and the room was so musty and mildewy. The carpet was always damp and dirty. When I first went to place the bath mat down, it was already soaking wet, prob from a leak in the ceiling because it had just stormed. The bottom of the bathroom door was so damaged from moisture it looked like frayed cardboard. Dampness was so bad, while we went out for the day, I cranked the heat to 90 until we came back 12 hours later to dry out the room and that helped a little bit. - Shower pressure was not great and drain was slow All in all, we just needed a room to sleep and keep our things because my family had a nice condo a few blocks away so we showered and spent most of our time their or out doing stuff. The bed was comfortable enough, although made very poorly and had bits of some type of bugs' legs on it (spider cricket?). There was dried gum, holes, and rips in the sheets. Good enough place to stay but should be cheaper.

Don’t stay here.

Location was great, but that’s about it. Our room smelled of mildew and the carpets were wet and remanded wet our entire stay. There was also mold on the walls. The room looked like it had never been deep cleaned especially the flooring as well as having cracked bathroom tiles. The outlets were hanging outside the wall.

Pretty good

Overall the experience was good… there was no elevator and no private balconies… tv channels were very limited and not very kid friendly … but the view was great and the service was really good and the room was clean!

Quiet and beachy

Motel is seated right at the end of the boardwalk. It’s a quiet place. The beach access is right there. The room was large for space. Although the bed skirting and the floor looked dirty. Trash was removed daily and towels replaced everyday. Everything we needed was within walking or we took the bus. Staff was kind and check in was in the Dunes hotel.

Just Right for our weekend.

Older hotel but worth the $$ Right on the boardwalk and walking distance to restaurants, mini golf, shops and steps from the beach. Went for a long weekend and was great for what we needed. Only downfall was no elevator so being on the 3rd floor taking up luggage was no fun. 🙃 Will stay again.

The is very musty smells like mold everything felt damp even our clothes that we haven’t used, even if you had a “do not disturb” sign out on the door the maids still opened ur door and looked in ur room i seen that happen, will never go back

Little slice of heaven

We love staying at the a Seabonay because it's a hip slip and a jump to the back and boardwalk. There are many amazing walkable restaurants and lots of things to do in that area!! Perfect place to rest your head after a killer beach day!

Worst place ever

Didn’t stay. Place was filthy. Wasn’t cleaned from previous persons stay. Check in was supposed to be at 4. Told us we couldn’t check in till after 5. Told us to park in a different parking lot if we parked on the one by where we were staying we’d be towed. Room had mold in it badly. We got a refund so they say. For second night but charged us for first night. Will have to see if we got any refund at all. Only was there long enough to look at room and see all the mold and dirty tampons in floor and trash left from previous occupants and closed the door and returned the keys and canceled reservation. Worst place ever
