A variedade na comida nos surpreendeu…
Nos ficamos em dois resorts em Punta Cana. Com isso ficou otimo para compararmos. Nosso quarto era espaçoso porem precisa de uma renovada. Por conta das folhagens talvez achamos baratas quase todos os dias nos quartos e varios mosquitinhos de umidade. Porem uma coisa que nos surpreendeu foi a variedade e qualidade das comidas servidas no resort. Tambem gostamos das instalacoes em geral e da turma da animacao.

An enjoyable experience.
The stay in Bahia Principle Grand Turquesa was good. It was roughly 30 mins from the Airport and 15 mins from Downtown Punta Cana. When entering the gates the complex is very large consisting of several resorts. The grounds are beautiful with a tropical feel and exceptionally clean. The pools are large and enjoyable and the buffets are tasty. Alcohol/cocktail drinks were not so good, cheap and watered down. I would advise going to the beach earlier in the morning to claim a chair because around noon all beach chairs will occupied. If you are english speaking and understand very little of spanish,I would recommend downloading a language translator. The staff do speak some english but not as proficient. I would also recommend downloading a currency translator app in that most stores such as those in the bluemall prices are in DOP( Dominican Peso). The resort staff are very friendly and will assist with with transportation and other needs. I enjoyed my experience and had a great time practicing spanish. Lastly excursions can be booked on the resort but I noticed that the prices are higher, I would recommend comparing excursions to others companies such as Viator. You can schedule outside of the resort and the company will send transportation to pick you up.

Muito bom mas pode melhorar por ser um resort
A estadia foi muito boa, porém tem algumas coisas para melhorar. Hidromassagem do meu quarto não estava funcionando. A piscina que contém o ofurô, é muito fria, por ser pequena deviam aquecer a água. Garçons dos restaurantes não parecem estar interessado no seu trabalho, ao pedir algo eles demoram tanto para atender, que a gente acaba de almoçar e a bebida não chega. Bar da piscina, nunca tinha banana para fazer choco loco. Pessoal guarda as cadeiras logo que o dia amanhece com toalhas, depois nem usam as cadeiras e as mesmas ficam marcadas o dia todo, enquanto muita gente não tem aonde tomar sol na praia.

Uma experiência de checkout lamentável
A estrutura do hotel no geral é boa, e o buffet do Turquesa é um dos melhores que já vi em viagens. Contudo o atendimento na recepção deixou a desejar: no checkout, que foi às 23h30, nos exigiram que eu buscasse na acomodação as toalhas de piscina, sob pena de pagamento adicional. O detalhe é que o quarto é a quase 1km! Fui levada de carrinho, com escolta, e na volta trouxe as toalhas molhadas nos braços, sem ajuda do funcionário que acompanhava. Outro ponto de ATENÇÃO são os serviços oferecidos pela agencia Coming2, que fica no saguão. Contratamos 2 passeios e ganhamos o transfer da volta para o aeroporto. Quando o valor final foi convertido de DOP (moeda dominicana) para dólar, vi que o vendedor adicionou cerca de 10 dólares ao valor total. Acabei aceitando, já que tínhamos ganhado o transfer. Contudo, para nossa surpresa, o transfer não aconteceu! Por fim, tivemos que pagar mais 40 dólares para o taxi nos levar ao aeroporto. Estejam atentos e exijam comprovante de TUDO que for acordado!

Really enjoyed our stay. The resort is spacious with very friendly and helpful staff. The only real complaint we had was the bed. It was rock hard. No give at all. It was like sleeping on a floor.

Absolutely excellent. Very large property, clean, well kept and designed. The staff is quick to jump and assist you, polite, professional. Beach is beautiful, pools everywhere. Food is plenty, could use a little more flavor seeing how it kind of tasted bland but I assume that is done in order to appeal to the masses… veryyyy affordable as well. Can’t complain about ANYTHING!!! Will def return

we arrived withing the check in time of the expedia reservation. it took 2 hours to complete the check-in process to start. We were offered an upgrade to the Fantasia property which we accepted. then, it took more time to sort out the reservations, only to be mixed with our friend's room. overall there was very little attention to detail, lack of maintenance on the room (half of the lights didnt work), the maids were screaming in the hallways from 7 am (if you are on vacations its not good). the restaurants food was average and the front desk staff was useless. the only salvagable experience is the pool and beach staff that were really good. Definetely rolling back to melia in my next visit to punta cana.

Nice large property with some good late evening entertainment. Pool and bar were enjoyable. Wasn’t a big fan of the all inclusive buffet style dining. Drinks were also limited to certain alcohols . We did however get 2 free restaurant vouchers of our choice, the food was a lot better at the restaurants that we attended. The beach and some of the other amenities were a bit far away however transportation was provided and available fairly quickly.

For being at the oldest stay at the compound (Turquesa) it was a pretty good stay. If you’d like a more upgraded stay(room and no kids) don’t stay at this one. If you don’t mind and want to save money for more things like excursions, like i did. This is a perfect spot.

All good.
We stayed int the BP Bavaro last year and the BP Turquesa this time. Both times enjoyed the property. I enjoy not having to use the outrageous taxi's in PC and not being gouged by the the tourist industry in PC. Very nice grounds, excellent clean rooms with excellent air conditioning. The 3 pools, beach and activities are all very nice. On Thursday night, the resort had a small band with an outstanding female vocalist. All good!!
