Stayed here to catch the train at Garo de Lyon. The walk was a little further than expected especially if traveling with luggage but overall great 1 night stay. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and provided us with detailed instructions along with a map. Room was small with no AC but luckily we stayed in March when it was still cool outside so we were able to prop the window open. Restaurants were also all walking distance with great choices all around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay.

Rooms are small, yes, but everything else is great, clean, hyper friendly owner and staff, if you can get it get one of the street facing room on the top you'll get a cute balcony with a table and chairs, the breakfast buffet is good and inexpensive (9.5 euro).

Hotel de Venise is a small property in walking distance from the Gare de Lyon. Some rooms are quite small, but every room I have stayed in (I've been visiting this hotel for a decade) is immaculate, and the bathrooms are large and ultra modern.
