STAY HERE
My stay at the American Trade Hotel was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were exceptional, and the food was outstanding. The location was unbeatable, but my favorite part was my room. Starting the day with coffee and a croissant on the balcony was incredible, and ending it with a glass of wine there before dinner was perfection. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great Hotel!
This is a fabulous hotel! The location is great rooms are large and the staff is amazing! There is an awesome coffee shop attached to the hotel with great breakfast that comes from the hotels kitchen! Check in was speedy staff is so polite . I had a wonderful conversation with the sales manager …she was very knowledgeable about the area and history.

An Elegant Stay In A Charming Historic Hotel
The historic American Trade Hotel exceeded our expectations, even with the amazing reviews written by past guests. The hospitality staff were courteous, friendly and offered a surprising upgrade to an amazingly spacious room overlooking the charming Plaza Herrera. We couldn't have asked for a more elegant stay!

Really great spot, better than expected. Considered changing future plans to stay here again. The only thing is that the club across the street is loud until 4am, but it was easy to sleep through.

The Bells!
Shuttle was now here to be seen or more than an uber ride away and the same cost.... Hotel was great, good location,afe and friendly. Bu the bells, the bells and more bells, we didnt find the ear plugs till day three lol Shower mixer old and took a while to figure out.

Great location, beautiful, but a bit loud
Overall, it is a lovely historic building. Our room was on the top floor directly across from a church tower, bells are loud and ring often, especially on Sundays. We could also hear loud music late into the night from nearby restaurants/bars. Ear plugs are a must. The floor was a bit dirty and we had no hand soap. Bed was quite comfortable if a bit on the hard side. The food in restaurant was inconsistent. Breakfasts were very good but dinner was not great (meat so tough, could not eat it). They did take the meal off our bill. Front desk and door men all very helpful.

Gorgeous, renovated colonial hotel in Casco Viejo, Panama City. The rooms were wonderfully spacious, the accommodations were luxuriously, comfortable, and the hotel staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The area around the hotel is very easy to walk with lots of restaurants, cafés, museums, and souvenir shops. Traffic in this corridor can be a little difficult but taxis and ride-shares abound. We would happily stay here again upon our return to the city and will most definitely recommend it to family and friends alike.

Book this hotel! It’s amazing!
Incredible stay all around. Loved everything about this place the century old property has so much charm that’s been preserved and feels so luxurious. The room was large bright and clean. Amazing bed, linens and amenities. Will return as soon as I can! The location and views are perfect and the staff is so kind. They showed how happy they are to work at such a great place. Also you can buy the barhrobes!

Originally they put me in a very tiny room that had no hot water or desk/table. That wasn't good but then I was upgraded to a larger room that had a great view and a table and chairs, as well as hot water. That was nice!
