Upon check in on Fri night there was noone at the front desk and i had to wait around 5 minutes or so until someone arrived. The lift didnt work (notice was given) however i was allocated a room on the 6th floor (no notice given) - very steep stairs and uncomfortable to walk up and down all weekend, it really put a downer on my time there. If i had known in advance i would be booked on the 6th floor without a functioning lift i wouldve changed my booking to another hotel. Also there were 3 homeless people smoking and doing what looked like dr*gs in the stairwell, they also had their dog with them. I felt very unsafe and reported it to reception and he had them removed which was good, but it was concerning as how how they got in there in the first place. The room itself was decent enough, great location, but i wouldnt stay again due to the above.

I guess you get what you pay for. Thankfully I paid very little for my room. First a couple of good things: wonderful staff, very comfortable bed, great location. HOWEVER the lift in this hotel has been out of order for a year or more. So you have to use a very steep stare. Seriously it's very steep! My floor was on the 5th floor which is actually 6 floors from street level and 7 floors from reception. There is at least One higher floor. Fortunately I didn't have any luggage. I spoke with management (?) and hopefully they will buy the property and if they do the lift will be repaired. But until it's done I wouldn't come back again even though the location is fantastic.

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The reception was weird & difficult to get to. The staff were lovely. Some of the very steep stairs were just concrete. The lift hasn’t worked for at least 7 months. The walls were filthy. The room door looked like it had been kicked in at some point. I didn’t sleep & at one point I thought someone was trying the door. I was booked for 2 nights. I only stayed for one night & booked into a nearby Travelodge which was a luxury hotel compared to this. I’m a Travel Agent & travelled the world but I’ve seen hostels better than this.

Room unclean, lift didn’t work, no help from staff, worst hotel experience of my life. Proudly the cheapest? Absolute show, would never book again. Just pay the extra tenner and stay at easy hotel.

Elevator not in use, Fire alarm activated at 4am they know the exact reason but did not do anything right away did not deactivate the alarm right away that caused too much inconvenience since we are from the 6th floor with no lift!!!!😡

how do I start so I had to climb about at least I think it was about 100 stairs just to get to my room because the elevator it was up out of order then I got to my room found out the heater wasnt working so I changed rooms yet again because we're in the winter then the TV remote on the second one was not there so change rooms again that wasn't on had a little scout around a little around the hallways of stuff those holes in the walls floorboards paint peeing off the Floor and walls disgusting its stunk was not a nice place at all

I’m a 60 years old women (solo traveler) I was put in the 5th and the lift was broken I had to climb 10 flights of stairs 😱 The location was great and I can’t fault the staff very friendly, the hotel room are clean but it said the rooms had black out drapes but they haven’t

I would stop here again this hotel is ok for homeless people or immigrants to stop in I’d like to get my money back . I was ask if I had email about the lift not in working I said no and that I emailed say I’d like to be with my friends and family so was all together and we wasn’t . My husband , friend and my have problems with our lungs and my friend as a problem with her knee so we had a game going up the stairs up to the room so happy that we was on the 3rd floor I ask for a low one but didn’t give us one .

Clean room, staff courteous and helpful. Plenty of supplies, ie towels toilet rolls etc. Slightly difficult to navigate very steep stairs at the front of the building (lift was broke and had to climb to 6th floor) but staff told us to use back stairs which were much easier

Lift out of order (since January), staff spoke to you as if they didnt care, marks on walls in bedroom, plug switch on radiator looked like it was coming out at some point, did an amateurish job of putting it back in. Next to no tv signal.

I was upgraded to one of there flats around Bold Street & didn't get any sleep on Friday night due to Halloween people out till 5/6am plus local council clearing up around 7am NO DOUBLE GLAZZING ON WINDOWS. Saturday got sleep due to being out at the Rugby & out in Liverpool till late Evening but once again due to street noise lack of sleep Sunday night. not on my list to stay again if ever in Liverpool again.
