We were looking forward to trying this new hotel but it was not what we expected at all!
The entrance was really nice and very cosy, it was toasty coming in from the cold & we were greeted by the staff who were all lovely!
We made our way to the room on the 2nd floor but it’s like a maze so it was very confusing & it’s dark. Finally found our room & it was freezing so we put the hot air on but nothing happened & we couldn’t even take our jackets off. I never have the big light on anywhere, but it was so dull and there was no big light then the lamp wasn’t working so it was really dark for trying to get ready to go for dinner.
We just didn’t get a good feel in this place at all but we didn’t have time to find anywhere else so we decided to suck it up as it was just 1 night.
When I looked out the window, I realised this is the old Park inn by Radisson that they made into an asylum seekers refuge where one person stabbed another 6 and the police shot him dead in one of the rooms.
We had stayed in that hotel once, before this incident and really didn’t like it so I would never have booked it had I known but they’ve moved the entrance to Renfield St, I would never have known it was the same building.
We stay in many hotels & sometimes it’s not what you expected but it’s fine, this place just didn’t do it for us unfortunately.
