Reserved 2 rooms for 7 people. They only had one room. Had to wait 2 hours until they cleaned one that was under renovation. Very poor customer service

The no-sleep hotel
The hallway fire alarm went off randomly throughout the night, a dozen or more times. We were afraid to go to sleep for fear of being jolted awake at any moment. We called the desks, and they said, "Yeah, we've been having problems with that." So, we willingly booked into a hotel that knew we wouldn't be able to sleep. We might as well have stayed on the road all night.

There was a lot of construction going on. Doors seemed to stick in several places. Reserved a handicap accessible room. Needed bars at the toilet - there were none. Had to go downstairs to the lobby bathroom from the third floor every time to use the toilet. The only handicap thing that I saw in this room was one bar to assist in the shower. Was not a walk-in shower. Still had to climb over the tub side. They advised that they didn’t have any handicap accessible with two queen beds. Only had a room with a King bed. There were two of us there on business for work and was not comfortable sharing a bed. They offered a handicap room with two queen beds on the website, yet advised me they didn’t have a room like that at this time. Tried to make the best of the situation. Won't go back.

Property was under construction. Our room should not have been rented. A discount should have been offered, when it was brought to the desks attention. Breakfast was just OK.

I give 2 stars only because the overnight front desk guy went above and beyond to attempt to remedy this awful experience. We checked in to the hotel around 9-10pm only to find minimal toilet paper in the room and a fridge full of the previous room tenants left over food. Because the hotel was booked they were unable to move us to a clean room but the overnight front desk tracked down a bag to empty the trash and cleaning supplies to clean the fridge. The following morning when we checked out another lady was there and when we passed along our issues she couldn’t care less. She seemed bothered that I had even discussed our issues with her. They also couldn’t be bothered to provide a toaster for our provided breakfast b/c it was “out for maintenance”. Seriously, Sam’s Club is across the street! Go buy a stupid toaster. With the cost of the room Hampton Inn can afford a working toaster!! But I guess they can’t even manage to keep their cleaning staff. Another group staying there had the same issues with the lady in the morning - she clearly hates her job! And made us all deal with her miserable attitude as a result!!!

Inexperienced staff messed up my booking
They messed up my booking. Gave my room to another guest and I ended up with a room half the size of what I booked. The front desk staff are inexperienced. I was checked out by them before the end of my booking. When I found out and called to try to fix it, I was put on hold forever. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

This hotel is under renovation and construction is visible in many areas. Cable TV wasn’t hooked up so we had to switch rooms.

I reserved two rooms at the Hampton in Mentor, OH, when we arrived the manager said that Expedia cancelled one of our rooms. The manager said that Expedia sent her a email cancelling one room. I asked to see the email because I never received an email from Expedia but she went in back room & never came back up the staff said she was on the phone but I'm pretty sure she was hiding. It was a terrible experience, we had to search for another hotel & had to go into Cleveland to find one. I will never go to another Hampton.

The room that was missing amenities
It was horrible except for the cleanliness of the place. No pillows. No garbage cans. Was given a garbage bag. Later to put over the door. No tv. If there was a fire no smoke detector. Clerk did not tell us that thes items were missing. Managers to call on Tuesday No call. I need at Least. 50 Percent back. I heard someone asking for 100 percent.
