Good location, quiet part of town bit near to the centre. The staff (George & Violet) were v helpful. Room was average but clean. Bed was a standard double. There is no lift at the hotel. Breakfast was v good

O.K for one night
Basic hotel. Really for holidays (I was just travelling). Good location (or as good as it gets in Ilfracombe !). Breakfast was not that great - pre-assigned tables ! (not my preference, I just like to wander in).

Very tired hotel, needs freshening up to be able to compete with today's market. Breakfast appalling and so didn't eat it. Ok if you are a coach party paying minimum per head per night, but won't be staying there again.

not good value
the outside of the hotel is very shabby. upon arrival there was no record of our booking we had to wait for 15 mins while they sorted the issue. there was no apology. The sheets were clean and the beds comfortable. the en suite was grubby. the shower was hanging off the wall. the toilet brush was disgusting. we went out in the afternoon returned to the hotel at 7pm to find the doors locked. again there was no apology or explanation. the breakfast was good but there was no choice of tea or coffee. as we left the hotel there was no goodbye from the reception staff. for the money we paid we were very disappointed with the whole experience.
