I have a 3 day lay over in Athens. The Vault is conveniently located so I can take the hop-on / off bus. It is closed to the National Botanical Garden and the Syntagma subway station and has many restaurants nearby. The only problem is that the front desk closes at 9 pm, so my check in is a bit uncertain (it works out OK,).

We stayed 1 night at the hotel and we were really pleased by the hospitality. The Vault is located at the city center, so everything is in walking distance. 1'min from restaurants & bars.Especially the one across the street is nice.5-10' away from Acropolis Hill, Acropolis museum and all other archeological sites. The room was spacious with proper A/C and the bed was comfy.The staff was amazing helping us with everything (transfer to/from the airport, tips for restaurants & bars). Our breakfast included amazing croissants from a crossanterie which operates on the ground floor of the hotel. Don't miss it. Overall,it's a 10! I highly recommend it

Noisy and funky smell

Great price, but the room had a very funky smell. Perhaps from the bedrest, perhaps from the shower drain.. not sure. At night, there was someone crushing something very loudly outside..???? and pressure washing!! At like 10 -11 pm!! And in the morning, an abrupt awakening with a jackhammer!!!!! 8 AM. And this is all from the courtyard facing window, not the street. I slept with earplugs so it was mostly OK. I assume after 11 PM there was no more noise since i did not awake in the night.
