My Easter Stay

Everything was amazing except one thing upset me. I called about the hotel asking if they still had a shuttle to and from the airport and whoever I talked to said that unfortunately they didn’t. When I arrived using Uber that court $25.00, the hotel staff said they do indeed have a shuttle service and then I saw the shuttle. On a positive note, the breakfast was great each day with good food and plenty of armorer and excellent coffee. Over all I was very pleased.

Nothing worth! The money!! Or stay!!!

Over all for the amount that I paid wasn't worth the stay & it was a basement room no view... Plus no mention of painful parking $30 per night at that ridiculous!!! Looks like a rundown motel on a high end price not for me sorry I was very upset & a big waste of money!!! On this stay look for something good & worth paying for!!!

Decent Marriott property.

This Marriott property is good. Good location to trains and many restaurants and attractions in Astoria, as well as a short shuttle or Lyft ride to LaGuardia airport. It isn’t fancy, but the rooms are reasonably clean and they have onsite parking for $30/night of needed. Staff is always friendly. I stay here on occasion, as it is the only decent hotel in this section of Astoria.

Everything about this property was awesome! The staff is welcoming and always available. Every part of the property was spotless and the breakfast spread in the morning was perfect with both hot and cold food available (vegetarian/vegan options available). Great food is easily walkable and so is the subway. They also have a free shuttle to the airport throughout the day. Free coffee and tea always in the cafe area. Also, our event was about 1.5 miles from this location and we felt very comfortable making the walk. This will definitely be our affordable NY option from here on out.

We lost one luggage just outside the hotel. We got off the shuttle and while the bags were brought down by the driver one of my daughters forgot to pull it inside the hotel. We only realized that after around 90 minutes of waiting in the lobby for our room as it is too early to check-in. Although the manager was kind enough to send me a video captured while we entered the hotel, the cctv camera shot outside wasn’t available as one of front desk guys told me that NYPD has the authority to release that video and not them. I asked for their help but I never saw the manager again and although I thought of going to NYPD myself as it is a few minutes walk from the hotel, I never got a chance because it’s around christmas time and

It was a nice place to stay and the breakfast was good (variety of choice). However, if your looking to see the areas of Manhattan you have quite a mission. One way to do it is walking from de hotel for 15 min to a train station. During that walk the areas have poor lighting and where dirty. Felt unsafe coming back in the night. Nothing ever happened to me and I used this transportation everyday since it was the most accesible and cheapest way but I was always in alert. Not much around the hotel for fun so its necessary to explore further. The rooms where nice and service was always excellent.
