This was a good value hotel for oceanfront. They are renovating the property, so some amenities are not available. The rooms are a little dated and could use some fresh paint, but efficient for a one night stay.The indoor pool and hot tub was what we liked the best about the property.

RESORT FEE? REALLY!?
Grounds are torn up. Dirt everywhere (outside)and no grass anywhere! No previous warnings of extensive landscaping going on! Pool closed and locked. Worst of all, despite the deficiencies described above, this property has the audacity to charge a RESORT FEE, which was not specified until sign in. We would NOT be reserving here again. (The unit itself that we rented was okay and the staff were fine) It is Management that should take a hard look at their procedures and policies.

Fire code violation
They were under heavy construction. No mention of this on the hotels.com profile. Was provided a room that was outside the courtyard on the exterior of the proprtyon thr most western aspect of the property.. Had set of external doors on the second level that required room key entry. The 1st level entry doors were lock as a result of construction. If there was a fire we would have to penetrate the entry of the courtyard and walk through the hotels pool and courtyard to exit through east exit doors. We walked away from the hotel after requesting a refund. We were treated very poorly. We would still like a refund. Attached are supportive images. I have a vide as well. Apparently the photo upload feature on this platform is not functioning

Great room and beds for a resort showing its age.
Even though the building/property are definitely showing their age on the exterior, the renovated interior was nice. The beds are super comfy. It will be nice when they get the storm repairs done on the oceanfront amenities.

Never ever again
When I booked with Hotels.com I left a comment saying that I didn’t want to be on the 1st floor for security reasons. So when I get there of course I was given a room on the bottom floor. Not only that it was on the outside facing the beach, very little lightening. Everything was under construction so at 8am I was woken up by hammers and all kinds of equipment with a bunch of men yelling. So not only did I not feel safe I couldn’t even sleep in. When I spoke with the manager on duty about my concerns I was brushed off. I was told because I booked through a third party that my request wasn’t mentioned and for an additional 25 dollars plus text I could upgrade. They totally ignored the fact that I asked not to be exactly where they put me. As far as the construction he said that there was no where on site that I wouldn’t hear the noise. He pretty much said suck it up. I told him that he might as well get ready for my review. He said ok 👍. About an hour later I received a call from them saying they had found a room for me at no cost. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The pictures online isn’t what you will see at this time. Also there was no access to the beach that looked safe. Everything was taped off saying danger etc. Parking sucked as well. I will never visit this place again.

Gammalt och slitet.
Gammalt och slitet. Var ganska kallt när vi var där och det drog under dörren från balkongen till utgångsdörren så hela natten var det jätte kallt. Gammalt och slitet. Värsta hotellet under vår en månads vistelse i USA. Donuts till frukost i en brun matsal. Kändes som att detta hotell kanske var okej under 70-80-tal. Inte fräscht alls. Skulle aldrig välja detta igen.

8.8 is a lie. More like 6
Definitely not an 8.8. Chips in the wall, the only heat is an electric fireplace, the bed is hip height, the showerhead is right in your face, there’s one light bulb in the bathroom and no fan. I have no idea how anybody rated an 8.8. I’d rather stay at the red roof Inn.

Mixed bag but good value.
Stayed 12 days. Full service was supposed to be every 3 days. It seemed more haphazard but we got fresh towels nearly every day. Spa not warm enough with only one section having a strong flow. Seemed a bit dirty. Michelle at the front desk was wonderful—helped out when we had to extend twice. However, housekeeping kept knocking on our door several mornings even though the do not disturb sign was out. Also, lots of noise just outside starting around 7am.
