Kansas Visit
We think some improvements could be made.We arrived on Wednesday, the ice maker on our floor was not working. After talking with other guest the ice maker had not been working all week. It was not until Friday that it was functional. This was very inconvenient. The TV programing was not only awful the channels were not in sequence with the guide and several channels did not work, just a black screen that would flicker some times. The bathroom door would not close. We were offered another room but being a married couple we chose to keep the balcony room (the reason we chose this hotel) rather than switch. The couch in our room was very worn, near breaking on one end and extremely uncomfortable. While the room/furniture was in need of updating we enjoyed the room space and thought the hotel overall was okay for the price. Although we have the before mentioned complaints, the staff, their friendliness and helpful nature made our stay for the most part enjoyable. With family in the area we will be visiting again and may stay at Sonesta Essentila at least 1 more time to see if any improvements have been made. We would like to think that the hotel is in the process of replacing furniture, repairing things needed and updating TV programming service and we were just unlucky in getting a room that has not yet been redone.
