This hotel was pretty rundown. Definitely needs an update. One of the nightstands was filthy and sticky like drinks had been sitting on them and had dripped on it. I had to wash down the end table and the bathroom countertop. The mattress was the least comfortable we’ve ever been on. Upon arriving, the staff was very nice, but that’s about the best thing I can say about the hotel. The free breakfast is very limited no hot food at all and the orange juice was warm to say the least. Wish I could give it a better rating, but I can’t.

The hotel that time forgot
Almost everything in this hotel needed updating, from the dingy towels to the saggy mattress, stained boxspring and threadbare sheets, not to mention the ancient microwave and dented mini fridge that made loud noises periodically throughout the night. The pool and hot tub were open but the railings were all dangerously loose and they were unable to come up with more than two towels. Things were clean enough, just well past their optimal lifespan. We passed on breakfast. Best I can say is this hotel was very convenient, but next time I’d drive back to Hurricane for a more comfortable stay at a lower price.

Once was enough!
We had three rooms, one had garbage left behind from the previous stay. One had a toilet that wouldn’t flush, and the other one had a sewer smell. The front desk didn’t seem at all like they cared about the smell when we asked to be moved to another room. He told us that’s the first he’s ever heard of a smell in that room and there was nothing they could do about it. The rooms are outdated. The towels give you a nice microdermabrasion they are so old and out dated. The “free breakfast” was bagels with no cream cheese and some fruit. Probably won’t stay here ever again!

Pet friendly?
The $20/pet fee created an unexpected last minute expense. When shopping for price with pets, it would help to have the pet fee published along with the room fee. There is no designated pet area and no waste removal bags provided to support the claim of pet friendly. Bags should be provided when such a substantial fee is being charged.

Won't stay here again
Very old, very run down. Toast or bagel for breakfast. No clean towels, no extra blankets. Pillows are old and flat. Shouldn't cost $150! Way too expensive for what you get.

Never stay here!
Terrible experience. Rude people. Couldn’t get the room I booked. Bed and pillows were hard as rocks - I will never stay at this place again. I’ll sleep in my car before sleeping here again. Also, based on the experience I had with Hotels.com customer service after 10 years- I’m going to use a different service.

The shower was disgusting. It looked like mold all along one side of the shower. We were told that breakfast was at 7:30. This consisted of a piece of toast and a hard boiled egg. There was only a table for four people. They were unable to give me a receipt when checking out or even tell me how much we owed. They said we would receive an email from Expedia. I made the reservation in the car traveling down the highway and looked up Howard Johnson and did not go through Expedia. To date I have received nothing from anyone!

Old, outdated and damaged.
Old, outdated, uncomfortable. Towels were gray instead of white. Bathroom door was broken and towel rack was falling off the wall. Trim was chewed and damaged throughout the room. Carpets were stained. Walls were filthy and dented/scuffed. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Beds were incredibly uncomfortable and had stained coverlets. We didn't even attempt the breakfast due to the condition of our room. This motel needs some updates. The review won't allow me to upload photos to show the condition of the room, but it's not great.

Home away from home!!! ♥️
The man who checks you in is very friendly! We love their King suites. We have stayed a lot of different hotels in st George but Howard Johnson hotel is our favorite. Clean I even check the top of the shower wall it is always clean. It is very quiet on the top floor as well as the bottom floor. It has a couch and coffee table a tv room and the fridge is bigger than other hotels it has its own freezer which is really nice. A bigger microwave than other hotels as well. While rest in bed it has its own tv in there as well. The king size bed is very comfortable. There is a huge closet and a safe which is an extra security in my opinion. It doesn’t matter which king suite we get it is always clean and comfortable that’s why we always stay there.
