Our recent stay at the resort had some highlights but also several disappointments. Upon check-in, we were greeted warmly, and our luggage was promptly taken to our room—a nice start to the visit. The resort grounds were absolutely beautiful, which added to the overall ambiance.
However, the service left much to be desired. We had to text multiple times just to get basic items like drinks, snacks, and coffee delivered to our room. It seemed like the resort was understaffed, as texting was the only way to get a response after multiple unsuccessful calls. Each morning at breakfast, there was no one at the front desk to check us in, forcing us to search for someone to assist us.
The pool had a safety issue with a sharp light fixture sticking out, which we reported, but no action was taken. Our Thanksgiving dinner was the most disappointing experience. Despite costing $185 per person, the staff seemed disorganized, and the entire meal took over three hours from start to finish. The food itself was okay at best, far from what we expected for such a high price. We ended up taking our dessert to go due to the excessive wait times.
This was our second stay at the resort, and while we had high hopes, we left feeling disappointed. It’s unfortunate because the setting is beautiful, but the service issues, lack of organization, and apparent understaffing significantly detracted from our experience.
