I arrived at the hotel, went to the check-in counter and after identifying myself, I was informed by the hotel receptionist that there was no cold water in the rooms and there was no estimate of when this problem would be solved.
The same employee informed me that if I checked in and decided not to stay at the hotel, I would not be entitled to a refund.
Before I could make a decision, the employee left the service area counter and went to the hotel lobby to ask a homeless person to leave the premises. She claimed that the area was monitored by cameras and the manager had asked him to leave. Since the homeless person refused to leave the hotel, she returned to the counter and continued to serve me.
I then informed them that I would not be staying at the hotel with my family, and requested that my reservation be cancelled and a refund be issued. They said that I should request a refund from "hotels.com", which I am doing now, attaching 2 receipts.
One for the reservation and the other for "Garnet Inn & Suites (Orlando).
I would greatly appreciate it if the refund of the amounts paid, as described below, were returned to the same credit card used to pay for these expenses.
Sincerely,
