Location-wise, this hotel is about 3km north of the West Lake. Reasonably priced compared to hotels along the lake side. Getting a Taxi to/from the hotel and the West Lake is not an issue, provided that you speak Mandarine. Perfect for self-guided tour. Check-In service is good, staff responive, rooms clean with decent decor. If you plan to have dinner in one of those restaurants with "hundred years of heritage", which tourists (including myself) usually find from the internet, look no further. I have been to many of them with disappointment. Do try their Chinese restaurant on the second floor. They have good selection on their menu that represents the typical Jang-Su crusine. All properly done with good service. Lots of local Hangzhou mid-class family dines there speaks for itself, which is why I changed my mind and gave this restaurant a try. I am glad that I did. Breakfast comes with all the typical stuff you expects. Nothing exciting but perfectly decent by any standard.
