Meh. We've Stayed Twice. Won't Again.

We arrived at 2:45 for 3pm checkin after a long day of travel. Lobby was empty. There was a sign to call 1-800 Wyndom national number to check in with a sign stating short staffed. Staff woman eventually came and was flustered, said there was a plumbing main break and that we cannot check in until 3pm. She was kinda grumpy and made us feel like we were a bother. Despite the open front area where you could park right in front of your door, we were put in the back and then our room around a dark corner. Water puttered brown for a little while from the plumbing problem but then was clear. We didn't drink it, luckily had a few gallons in the car. Bed was comfy. Night was quiet. Tasty Mexican restaurant shared a parking lot so we walked over for takeout which was convenient. We probably won't be back.

The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The property is older and has been updated but is in need of repairs. The lock on the door leading directly outside is broken and has not been taken care of, and the flooring is coming up in spots and should be replaced. There is a slight incline leading into the bathroom that could cause someone older or unsteady to trip and fall. I liked the fact that the bathtub is low for easy access, that is a huge plus for older people.

The room I was assigned had a problem with the door. Since I was an Expedia customer they could not give me a different room. I did not feel safe and tried to reach Expedia to cancel the reservation. The mangager was nice enough to find me a different room that I felt safe in. The motel is short staffed and we’re still very nice.
