Great stay inexpensive and friendly staff

A great location and Unit was very cool. Made use of the in room jacuzzi.

Heater not working in the middle of winter, fireplace set for one hour which means that every ONE hour i had to get up and reset it. I love going to Big Bear but will never stay at the Fireside Lodge again. I stayed for two nights :(

When we got there the heater was on full blast and room was very uncomfortable. We turned the heater down and went to dinner and out on the town. When we came back heater would not work and the office was closed.. Fireplace that they have is a gas fireplace and they have it on a timer so if you want it on you have to continually set timer. When I told the front desk they said that I should have called and would not give me a discount for the room. My husband and froze all night and one of the cleaning people said that the heater was old and if we kicked it, it might have turn on. Place is not up to date with their appliances and they give you ear plugs because walls on so thin.

The place was clean and as advertised. Disappointed no hot tub outside or in the room but overall it was nice place to lay your head for a short stay and able to cook for my family.
