Hotel hat eine Traumlage, Strände sehr schön, kristallines Wasser. Einrichtung etwas veraltet, v.a. das Bad ist unpraktisch und eng. Dafür haben Zimmer eine atemberaubende Aussicht aufs offene Meer. Morgendlicher, lästiger Kampf um Liegestühle, oft zu wenig Badetücher. Buffet gut und abwechslungsreich. Service an der Bar top. Service allgemein unfreundlich.

Fantastic location. Great staff but the place is really run down and due for renovation. Also noticed less staff to keep the place clean compared to other resorts and hotels in Cancun. For example you will dirty glass windows around the property and not enough employees to keep them clean everyday. Even at their seat down Mexican restaurant all widows are old and foggy and should b erepalce.

Super fantastic staff. Food is just okay and the facility is really run down. They definitely need a renovation. Kudos to super friendly staff A++ people at the front reception and at the restaurants. Beautiful resort area with the water but very run down. Till the renovate the price should not be more than $250 a night for 2 people for their villas.

The staff at MIA Reef is top notch. They are friendly and welcoming and ready to help in any way. The food was very good and the beach is amazing!! The rooms are slightly outdated but we rarely are in the room anyway. When we checked in however, there was confusion with my 16 year old. Orbitz lists children as 17 and younger, Mia considers children 12 and younger. They wanted me to pay $200 more upon check in for him. I disputed and they were very accommodating. The bar area at the pool was under construction therefore there was no pool bar or lobby type bar for evenings. We were unaware of this until we were already there. I assume there was some damage during the hurricane and the beach area had erosion and broken steps and dock. It looks like they are to begin working on this and would make a huge difference. If all these things were complete prior to our stay, I would definitely give the resort 5 stars, however without experiencing all the amenities I can’t rate them.

Beautiful beach area, perfect for snorkeling to see sting rays and numerous fish, kayaking, swimming, and just wading in the calm waters. Great room views and clean. Food was good, enough options. Drinks were great, served on the beach.

This was our second time at Mia Reef. Overall, our stay was good but the resort does need some major maintenance - wear and tear are very noticeable throughout. For example - shakey faucet, low water pressure, scratches on some furniture. The beaches are unbeatable on the island however! They never disappoint.

Resort was amazing & so were the staff! I hated that I didn’t receive the villa we booked & paid extra for. No one told me I wasn’t receiving my room until the second they gave me my room key (I was there 5hrs before waiting my room) & wasn’t told a thing! Then they gave me credit but wasn’t even close to the extra that I paid for the villa! Resort told me that it was Expedia's fault for not telling me. I hate that nothing was said until the last moment & I had to take the room they gave us which was a downgrade instead of the honeymoon suite which is what I asked for because it was close in cost to what I paid for the villa.

The first room they showed me didn’t have the view that I requested. And it smelt like cleaning fluid. The other room they gave me I had to pay extra for. The music at the restaurant was horrible. Disco rap music. And they serve hamburgers instead of any Mexican food.

The beach was beautiful and the favourite part of our trip! Even though the sandy area was small there was always enough loungers and the staff were willing to grab more if needed and would put up an umbrella if you wanted one. Many areas to snorkel and see fish. Staff would bring food and drinks to you while on the beach. The food was good and if you didn’t like any of the options you could get something made on the grill. Breakfast was the best. We loved the staff, most were super friendly and went above and beyond! We especially loved Kimberly, Eduardo, and Nicholas! My biggest complaint would be that they had a lot of bikes but only a few of them worked and that there were a few areas of the resort under construction while we were there ie. one restaurant and a bridge recently destroyed by a hurricane. Secondly I’m happy to say they weren’t overly pushy but still pushy enough to to try to get you into their VIP rewards program right after checking in. We just wanted to go to our room and not listen to someone convince us of their VIP membership (for almost an hour.) We ended up being super firm and they didn’t bother us for the rest of our time there.

We did not get the Grand Aqua Villa that were had reservations for. They gave us a room that was much lesser value and did not refund us for the difference in the room prices, and instead gave us a $350 hotel credit (which is pretty useless at an all-inclusive resort. For an all-inclusive, the food at the buffet was poor and drinks were weak, though the service that Luis at the bar and Roberto on the beach provided was great. The guests with black wrist bands (who were members of Mia Club) received privileges and attention at the expense of regular guests. Note to future guests; confirm the condition of the resort before staying here.

The location is brilliant, but you can tell that the hotel has seen better days. On top of it I think the activities and tours you can purchase from the hotel are overpriced. To give you an example a snorkeling kit costs over 200 dollars in the store on the premise. I felt a bit scammed.
