Great little hotel, charm, location

This hotel is lovely, full of character, and the location is amazing. My family (2 kids, wife, I) and I greatly enjoyed our stay in our family room with loft and balcony. The building itself is now my inspiration for retirement, it's gorgeous, I want to own it or something exactly like it. Coffee on our room patio and the minimal but delicious breakfast in the courtyard was truly enjoyable. The staff was helpful without being too involved, though speaking some Spanish definitely helps if you are staying here. Overall I'd welcome a chance to stay again, loved it.

Mosquito is ideally located in Zona Colonial which gives easy access to most major cultural sites, dining and related activities. Most important though was the friendliness of staff, especially Lucilla.

Un lugar ideal para disfrutar del centro histórico

Excelente lugar para pasar un fin de semana. Cerca de todos los lugares históricos de importancia. Su restaurante es espectacular. Muy buena mixologia. El personal muy amable.

Un poco decepcion

El hotel es pequeño y acogedor pero para lo que cuesta no está a la altura. Las expectativas eran más altas ya que el precio por noche lo requería. Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, los baños tienen cosas rotas y la ducha no funciona bien y no tiene nada de presión. Para el agua caliente tienes que esperar un rato. Las habitaciones no tienen ventana y son muy pequeñas, si llevas una maleta grande, olvídate. Aunque el desayuno estaba bien, si querías más no podías. Deberían revisar el coste del hotel, si fuera menos costoso no tendrías esta reseña ya que podría justificarse.

Overall, this hotel is a little oasis. The downside is our room is small and feels extra small because the windows are covered in decorative film (for privacy) but that means you cannot see out of them at all so it feels a little claustrophobic. But other than that, the hotel is lovely, the staff is great and the restaurant is outstanding. Plus the location has us feeling like locals even though we are in a tourist area. That is a big bonus. Very happy with our stay and will come back again.

I liked the convenient (although partially rundown ) location in the 16th century town and the charming, original decoration of the common areas. But the rooms are really tiny and dark like little caves. We could not unpack our small suit cases, because there is very little room for clothing to be hung or shelved. Nearly all the rooms look out onto the patio, in which the restaurant for all three meals is located. So all the noises of the patio, starting at seven in the morning, go up to the rooms. The doors of the rooms do not even close completely there is about a 6 mm opening between the two wings of the doors.

The best place to stay for the money!! Clean and quaint! The foliage in the courtyard amd rooftop lounge area is beautiful. The food here is absolutely the best in the area! Hot water is a bit scarce. Beds are great!! we stayed for three days! Yesenia is the best!!

The Location was excellent for the Colonial Zone. Parking we used the Municiple Parking. Not supper easy, but we did not speak spanish either which did not help. Eventually we got the car parked and everyone was nice. The staff at the Mosquito was amazing and happy to help. room was nice. The location was a huge deal. we were just down the street from everything which made our experience Fantastic!!
