Definitely not what we've come to expect from a La Quinta. From the arrival to the check in, to our room, this was a terrible experience and not worthy of the name.
When arriving, you have to pull through a trucking parking lot, no matter how you arrive. Once we checked in, we were sent to the "first floor" which is 3/4 of below ground. The hallways and elevators smelled "old" and dirty. Our room seemed like it was still in a state of construction, with dry wall spackling in several locations, still not sanded or painted. There was a lingering smell to the room, that we couldn't identify. The room wasn't necessarily dirty to the touch, but it had that dirty feel. Due to being 3/4 below ground it was dark and almost felt like a dungeon. The bed was lumpy and saggy and was a terrible nights sleep. Overall, I would highly recommend against this La Quinta. Horrific experience!
