A great inn in Edingbrugh. We stay for 3 nights with two rooms. The breakfast is wonderful and the bad is very comfortable. The room is equipped everything we need during our stay. Though no lift to the 2nd floor and 3rd, we still enjoy this small old building. However the street noise can be heard clearly that might put you sleepless whole night, especially over weekend. We could leave lugguages for half day after check out and help make our walking tour on Royal mile easier. Thank you all of staffs there and we entire family really has fun in Scottland.

The hotel is on the Royal Mile, very close to Waverley Station and the Castle. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Many free beverages in room and they offer one free drink at the bar for each guest. There's only 9 bedrooms so it makes people feel special. In short, very nice!

Inn on the mile
This is a unique hotel in a fabulous location. However it is three rooms to a floor and has nine floors but NO elevator!!! We were assigned a room on the 9th floor! However the bar staff assisted us with all our luggage.

God placering og store værelser
Vi fik et stort og lækkert indrettet værelse med udsigt til the Royal Mile. Værelset og resten af hotellet var til den kolde side, men det var også i slutningen af November og årets første sne faldt. Pubben i stueetagen serverer god mad og drikke og serverer også en solid morgenmad.

Great Inn and location.
Great location and extremely accessible to the whole area. Coupled with the hop-on Hop-off system was great to explore. The Inn was very helpful with relocating to the first floor above the restaurant after the first night. A knee replacement was prohibitive above that. Staff was great! And, breakfast was the best. Akso, best lattes in town.

Excellent choice in central location
Great location right in the center of the action on the Royal Mile. Somehow, it was very quiet overnight! Beautiful old building that looks like it was a bank at one time. Good restaurant on the first floor, had a good breakfast, afternoon snack/ drinks, live music in the evenings til 10:30. Room was very comfortable, a tad small, spacious bathroom with good shower and heated towel rack. Staff was helpful and took our bags upstairs. One caveat, there are no elevators, so you may be walking up 2 or 3 floors to get to your room.

Great boutique hotel that is within a 10-minute walk from the bus station and located on the Royal Mile. Centrally located to all of the sites. Our room was spacious and loved the large bathroom. Great breakfast selection and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel yet you need to be able to do stairs as there are no elevators at this location.

Great place to walk around and see the sights. We were heading to the whisky experience and it was an easy walk on the mile. Great cafes and pubs everywhere you look. Very busy with pedestrians so don’t drive of you don’t have to.

The property was a perfect location for shopping, restaurants etc. It does not have a lift (elevator) but they brought the luggage up to the room. If you cannot do stairs they would not work for you. The staff was very nice and the room was large, clean and very comfortable.

The lack of elevator is not highlighted. 40-60 steps are a lot for many people. Even though I know now, I still can’t find it stated Room very nice, staff very nice. Location good except can be noisy

Truly one-of-a-kind lodging. We walked the short distance to the Inn on the Mile from the train station, checked our bags, and enjoyed a delicious lunch downstairs before heading up to our room for a respite from the busy Fringe streets. Our room was cozy, but luxurious and comfortable, and a great central location for exploring everything that Edinburgh's Old Town has to offer. Highly recommended.
