很好，用心的一家酒店
因為參加了4日tour, 所以分別住了兩次這間酒店 第一次是住在8樓，閣樓有兩層，比較舊但有特色，都很舒適滿意 第二次是住在5樓，是得新的裝修，設備很好，十分舒適 而且酒店是用GHD的風筒，第二次房間還有GHD的直髮夾，很好用 酒店房有兩個迷李whiskey welcome drink 每日都有報紙在門口 酒店位置好，就在north bridge,到舊城，prince street ，都很方便 Check in check out 都很快 兩次住宿體驗都非常好，如再去旅行，都會入住

Absolutely Lovely
My boyfriend and I loved our stay at The Scotsman. The location is incredibly convenient, only steps away from Edinburgh Waverly station, and close to all the sights. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially our receptionist who upgraded us and allowed us to check in early. We loved our spacious room, and actually looked forward to heading back to it after long days of sightseeing. It was so bright and airy, in contrast with the often gloomy weather. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. The bathroom was quite large, and the amenities were great. Everything felt luxurious. We only got to enjoy breakfast once, but it was quite nice. We wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed a movie in the theater, or worked out in the gym. If we ever return to Edinburgh, we would not hesitate to book here again.

Christmas / Birthday Treat night away.
Bit of a treat this one to go to one of Edinburghs Top Hotels. We were full of excitement and had a night at the theatre booked too. Arrived nice and early, friendly helpful staff, and room was fantastic. Very spacious and tidy and clean. Nice big comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities but as usual only enough milk for 2 cups of tea / coffee. Had to go and ask for more. Fresh milk is available but 4 little tubs no use. Water and a small Whisky was gratis. Mini bar only had a half bottle of Red Wine and cost was £15 - no thanks. Great shower and nice view into Edinburgh over the waverley Station. Very quiet despite the traffic and trains - could not hea them. Initially far too hot so we had to turn down the heating. TV large but at the far end of the room and the remote controls did not work from the bed - had to get up and closer ! Biggest disapointment was that on return from Mary Poppins at 10.30 - they had called last orders and we were not allowed to purchase a bed time tipple - even to take to the room . Why an early finish - especially for residents? Free Scotsman newspaper every morning. But Breakfast was £45 for 2 so we went down the street - thats a bit much. Overall a great stay in a Historic old building where the stairwells and less visited areas are showing their age and needing a bit of an upgrade. Especially when considering this is a Higher cost Hotel where luzury is expected.

Very disappointing for a highly-rated hotel
Heating didn't work so it was freezing. Shower didn't work. No tea- or coffee-making facilities in the room. Wardrobe door broken so its light was on all night.

Great hotel in great location
Great location and lovely staff. The room was very nice and a great size, although it looked out on to a brick wall which made it very dark. The breakfast was very good and the service was excellent.

Almost excellent...
enjoyed our stay overall. at checkin we were told our room was small and asked if we wanted to upgrade. we declined and were delighted with our cosy room on the 8th floor which offered fantastic views across the city. staff were all very helpful. our only disappointment was breakfast on the first morning which cost £22.50 each. some of the food on the hot buffet was shrivelled and the fried eggs were set hard....disapponting for a hotel of this standard at that price.....even a premier inn cooks fried eggs freshly for their customers! when asked if everything was ok we replied no, told them what the problem was and the staff agreed to fix it thefollowing day, which they did. The hotel is very central and ideally situated if travelling to Edinburgh by train. Had it not been for the issue with breakfast, this would have been a rating of excellent.

Great central hotel for your Edinburgh experience
Wanted a classy hotel with nice spacey rooms and great service and that is what we got. Very nice service, very nice room and the location could not be better. Was pretty pricy but what to expect in December in a city like Edinburgh. Starting to get a bit worn, so hope they keep up with their maintenance

Some staff really tried to serve and provide a great experience whereas one or two others seemed a bit uninterested or stressed with other activities. Fairly nice rooms but not as light as we would have hoped. central location close to Royal Mile, but quite busy around it with lots of construction.
