We have stayed here often and really enjoy the area. The hotel is in good condition but needs some updating. The restaurant is very good with a nice variety of dishes. It will remain one of our top choices for Waterton.

Very Nice Location at Affordable Price
It is nice, clean, and beautifully located in Waterton Park. The affordable rate at a wonderful location. We love everything in this hotel. The only problem is a small maintenance issue with the shower drain which clogs, it needs a plumber or a utility guy to fix it but besides that everything was perfect!

Room was comfortable but a bit outdated. Bed was comfortable. Shower had good water pressure and hot water was consistent. Our room had a couple of issues - a lot of Boxelder bugs in our room. We were constantly killing them. There seemed to be a lot of these bugs outside too, but they were getting into the room likely through the door that was not sealed (we could feel the wind blowing in through the crack) The hotel grounds were nicely kept and the hotel is in a good location. However for the money one pays to stay here, I would expect better rooms. Housekeeping does not service the rooms each day (unless you request). About 5 bath towels and smaller towels were provided at check in so we didnt really need houskeeping service. Water in the toilet kept running and we had to manually flush the toilet a number of times to reset the toilet. This hotel was ok for our needs but looking at some of the other locations in Waterton, we will likely try one of those properties next time we visit.

We checked into a dirty room, garbage in the bins, food left in the fridge. Hair on the bed and towels. Empty shampoo and conditioner dispensers. We informed the staff, they didn’t seem concerned nor did they apologize. Very disappointed in the room and staff.

Love the location!
Waterton Lakes Lodge was a pleasant surprise. It is more of a motel style accommodation than a "resort", but we anticipated that. The location is perfect! You can walk to the waterfront at the International Peace Park or to Cameron Falls. We walked to dinner at the pizza place right behind our cottage. Very nice place.

This lodge is exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, quiet, and easy to access in the town. Our room had everything that we needed. Ignore the comments about how to rooms need to be updated because it's a lodge, not a hotel- the room aesthetics fit the vibe of the town. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is well located and the whole area is easily walkable. Lots to see and do in the area. The property itself is ok - a little run down. But the checkin and check out was problematic. We had a 4pm check-in time but when we arrived they kept telling us "just a few more minutes". An hour later we finally checked in and got to go to our rooms. Everyone was very nice but it's not clear why the rooms weren't ready by 4 if check out is at 11am. Check-out was a mess too. I dropped off the keys (they still use metal door keys) and spoke to the nice person in reception. I dropped them off 2 hours before checkout. I assumed that would do it. But later I received two $52 late check out fees for our two rooms, and a message on my voice mail (which I couldn't check until much later due to lack of reception in the park). They didn't know we had checked out! After calling back and being on hold for 10 minutes, I was able to explain the situation. They did reverse the charges but of course those should never have happened in the first place. Everyone who works there is very nice but I got the feeling they weren't experienced or perhaps the manager wasn't really on the ball with the room turnovers and how reception should be managed. Due to all the hassles I probably wouldn't stay there again. The rooms themselves were fine - nothing special. The rug was stained but I guess that is to be expected in a national park where people are hiking a lot.
