Good value for money

Staff were all very friendly, room was comfortable and clean. Got exactly what I expected. Breakfast was good (eggs could have been less dry, but that’s a small point). Would recommend for a reasonable priced stay on the Island.

Hot & uncomfortable, with a cold shower

AC did not work & room was very hot. Fridge did not work so everything we had inside went bad by the morning! The bed frames are made of a tin so anytime you move the slightest, it sounds like thunder. They’re not comfortable in the slightest. The water in the shower would not warm up so you have to take cold showers. The side door of the building has a key fob that doesn’t actually work so it locks you out. You’re also in the parking lot of a sketchy motel with people hanging around everywhere. Never been so uncomfortable at a hotel before!

Shower in our room didn't work. From what I could tell there was almost nobody else in the place but we were put in the room closest to the Legion and it was quite noisy. Also, it seems someone was vacuuming in the hotel in the middle of the night. I thought it was a siren I was hearing but my son thought it was a vacuum. Staff were very friendly.

Clean and Modern but lacking in other areas

We did get a good night's sleep but a bad start to our day. The room was clean and modern, but that's where it ends. Laundry facilities were out of order, so we had to sit at a local laundromat to do our laundry. Complimentary breakfast was terrible. Poorly stocked with items, and both juices were watered down and were disgusting. Hot food was very cold. If you are looking for an affordable hotel, stay here. If you want to start your day with a good breakfast, go somewhere else. Upon departure the steps were not cleared after a recent storm and extremely icy. No efforts were made to salt or sand the icy steps.

You can tell this was not a quality renovation on this property. Click floors in the hallways and stick tiles in the elevator. Not super clean looking. Beds make a loud metallic popping noise when you sit or roll on them.. The PEI scenery on the inside of the blinds is tacky. The “water view” is over a shanty-town of buildings and not worth any extra expense. The inter-connecting doors rattle whenever anyone opens their room door. The people in the next room might as well be with you, as they can be heard clearly.

The staff were pleasant people although rarely present. The room was clean, great beds, very adequate. The room was very cold though. It hadn't been heated when we arrived despite booking ahead. When we turned on the heat, it took several hours to heat up and the bathroom didn't heat up during our entire stay. At least the room was clean. I never found a fitness room although the booking site said it has one. The breakfast was very basic. Not much available and no fresh fruit at all. Really slim choices as a vegan, basically just toast or a bagel with peanut butter or/and jam. The location is great. There are some rooms with an ocean view. We had a fourth floor room right next to a stair well and we could hear doors slamming to the point of being woken up. The best thing I can say is despite the run down building, the rooms were clean, with no carpets. Our cat was well accommodated and no service staff entered our room during our stay. No quality amenities other than what is in the room itself which is adequate especially for business travel.

The hotel has a nice coat of paint and has been updated. The free breakfest was good and it was all we needed. It was definitly the more economical choice in Summerside compared to the other hotels that offer the same thing.
