Pro:
Location is very good, it's attached to Nordstrom of Michigan Ave, you can literally walk thru Nordstrom and get onto the magnificent mile.
Decor is posh enough for us to take pictures.
Cons:
Worst worst worst worst worst Starwood Hotel service experience so far. (1) front desk is always one-staff, even though the check-in line is very long. We ended up waiting 20 minutes standing in a line in the lobby. (2) the elevator on rush st never worked. Hotel lobby is at 5th floor, but the elevator only goes to 6th, so we had to take stairs down (carrying big luggage). The doorman insisted that the elevator works, while the front desk keeps saying that rush st elevator is for conferences only. (3) our final night of stay, the hotel hosted some holiday party which is on the floor above us. Our room was filled with loud party music and heavy bass. The ceiling and window frames are literally shaking all night. Since we have an early flight the next day, we wished the front desk to keep it down a bit. But no response from them. Then we called SPG service number, again no follow up from Gwen. Finally we called 911 when the time past midnight, but the party didn't finish till 0:45. When we were checking out, no one appeared to be apologetic. Guess just a normal day for them.
