No communication from staff
We were given a sheet of paper along with a smaller vehicle tag at check in. There was not much verbal communication from the front desk person. I didn't read it. And I wish I had as you would have to go in and turn on your ice machine in order to have any ice. So the next morning I found that out when I went to check out. I also found out on that little piece of paper that your supposed to put in your vehicle front window shield tells you There's a five dollar parking fee plus tax. I was not told this at checkin as they do not communicate that or anything else when you check in. Not a very nice area, I don't feel safe and would not stay here again, ever! The kitchen items were lacking and very mismatched. Bed was comfortable.

Disappointed & disapproved!!
Room was not properly cleaned, crumbs through out on the rug, moved the recliner & food crumbs under the recliner. Rug smelled like urine too, had to buy disinfectant spray, sprayed down the entire rug, finally smelt better.

Served the purpose,but looking elsewhere next time
The hotel served its purpose, but it was not what I've experienced at other Sonesta brand properties. Towels were good quality, but I intensely dislike places that make you take used towels to the desk to get fresh towels. Kitchenette was useful, but sink in first room had something foul in the sink drain & both rooms I saw had incomplete kitchen stock of bowls/utensils. Parking is an additional fee that wasn't disclosed until after my payment + deposit was processed. Staff was pleasant. My stay was sufficient, but I don't plan to stay again.

Older property but offers fantastic extras. The kitchenette was well stocked. The gym space and laundry room were very convenient. The desk/work space was terrific. Great place to stay for a work trip.

Disappointed
The bed was comfortable but besides this, it was a highly disappointing experience. 1) We were HIGHLY disappointed by the fact that the property misrepresented itself on hotels.com and it appears does this routinely. 2) We arrived expecting the free breakfast that their website promised. We were told they always get mistaken for their sister property across town with this(with no apology or credit after making that statement), 3) There is a $5 per night parking fee that the site does not explain will occur (and it should be noted, there is no real security on site we could see a homeless encampment right outside the hotel back gate that is open) 4) They hold a $85-$100 deposit for 1 night when other properties of the same caliber charge $20/ night. 5) water pressure is low on the shower, key building door handles are broken and the staff is unfriendly and uncaring to any concerns you have. There is a general “just deal with it” mentality by them. They need to be more transparent and provide a receipt at the end of checkout, which they also did not do or offer. We will NOT be staying here again and discourage anyone passing through on short term stays to. We recommend you go to Hampton Inn or a known national chain next time you’re in town for quality, customer service and accuracy in advertising. Btw, this is the Sonesta Simply on Menal St. in Albuquerque. Make sure you pay attention to the street when booking. DONT book this one!

Room was fine, clean and comfortable. However, the common areas were beyond nasty! Floors were gross, trash cans overflowing with trash. Smelled like smoke and trash. We almost left before even checking in.

Last minute room LoL
Hello I did a late night booking the hotel room was great with a good price we had some trouble earlier at the Mall but we walked to here the place is in a weird area so I can understand the staff not trusting us by the lobby door the lady was a bit odd and suspicious about us Native Americans but she did her job and we finally got a room took longer but I did have a reservation.
