For what we paid, our expectations were much higher. The woman at check in was less than excited to see us. We paid extra for a full ocean facing view. We were directly over the front valet area of the building facing other high rise buildings. We brought this to managements attention, and their “hands were tied because we booked through expedia.” I called prior to check in to inquire about a catering order I would need. I was told I had to call back post-check in. Guest services then told me they didn’t know if they did anything like that, and that the culinary team would need to reach out to me the following day. By then, it was too late. I had to order in food and beverage, knowing this resort caters to events. The restaurant, while newly renovated and beautiful, was sub-par. The food was expensive and not as described on the menu, and the service.. our waitress was inattentive and just overall bad at her job. Even after letting it run for several minutes, the shower in our room never got hot. We also had a group of 13 year old girls screaming in the hallway, and being loud and obnoxious in the restaurant at dinner. To be clear, this was our suite for getting ready for my wedding, and subsequently the hotel we used for our first night as a married couple. All we wanted was to wake up with a cup of coffee to a view of the ocean on the balcony, and instead we got a noisy valet view, and cold showers. We will not return, especially for the price.
