Good and bad!
Front desk staff hopeless. The rest of staff courteous and helpful. The one’s who stood out were Ali, Amal and Jaffa the chef. We arrived around 7.30AM and front desk said we couldn’t check in till 2PM without paying extra 10OMR. I explained we were Gold level members of hotels.com, and would appreciate consideration. we were reduced to sleeping in coffee shop. On 3 further occasions I approached the desk three more times during the morning including on duty manager, but staff couldn’t care less. Eventually 5 OMR and 3 hours later let into our room. Front desk displayed complete disdain. It was a shame front desk were trained so poorly as the rest of the staff were excellent as was the pool etc. front desk needs training in customer relations. Hotel great, staff excellent with exception of front desk and duty manager.
