We stayed here because it used to be a nice hotel about seven years ago when we were there. It was clean, well maintained, comfortable, and pet-friendly. Now it offers a clean lobby and it still allows pets for a fee, but some of the hotel rooms are so bad they are scary. The first room they gave us had no working air conditioner or phone. The second room had a working AC and phone, but the door was dented from being kicked and the carpet was filthy with stains. The third room was OK, but the couch had stains and cigarette burns, and everything—carpet—furniture—looked worn and should be replaced.
The front desk can’t reach guest rooms since the phone system in the lobby does ring through, so there’s a lack of safety should an emergency occur. (We found this out after our stay there.)
We won’t be staying here or at any other La Quinta in the future.
