Staff was super courteous. The breakfast buffet in the morning was delicious with large variety. Social /happy hour in the evening and afternoon tea/dessert was also included in our stay, and enjoyed really good Sake tasting every evening! Amenities were excellent from house slippers, PJs, bath salt, hair oil, face masks etc. more than you could ask for! And the hotel itself is beautifully decorated throughout. Highly recommend this stay!!

The staff were exceptional, and the amenities that were provided were generous. We also had our room cleaned daily, and it was great to come in after a long day. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast spread. It was amazing (if you are interested in trying different cuisines), and we looked forward to it before we got our day started. Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the afternoon and early evening offerings since we were out all day; however, we would love to stay here again and hopefully take advantage of those benefits.

We absolutely loved staying at the Richmond Hotel in Kyoto. The staff was so helpful and their English was very good. I loved their amenities bar and the travel journal and crafting stations. We had also sent our luggage from our previous hotel in Tokyo and they had already placed them in our rooms which was so nice. Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay! If you are ever in Kyoto, you need to stay here!

Comfortable beds and pillows, amazing shower, wonderful amenities and super friendly staff. Very convenient location for traveling and shopping. Only downside was breakfast which I only visited twice as they didn’t have a lot of options for oatmeal/baked goods/ yogurt lovers. Both days the one option of plain yogurt was at the bottom of the dish, no baked goods except for mini plain croissants and I had to ask both times for staff to replenish both the granola and yogurt dishes. Not a deal braker, still amazing hotel and we will gladly visit again!

This hotel really cares about creating a great experience for guests. The service is top notch, from reception to cleaning to the daily complementary tea service and happy hour they offer, not to mention the craft activity! I was blown away. Our room was beautiful as well - and the most spacious out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip. The only issue was the room didn't seem very sound proof -- we could frequently hear noise from upstairs, like they were moving furniture or luggage around. And when people closed (slammed) their doors shut in the hall it was very noticeable. Location-wise, it's very conveniently close to Kyoto station, which was great for us as we did a couple of day trips to nearby towns (and the station also has nice shopping and food options). Would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Kyoto.

Quarto com ótimo tamanho, espaço e bem limpo. O banheiro em especial tinha um bom espaço, e a divisão de ambientes era muito cômoda. Ao lado da Kyoto Station, o que tornou muito cômodo se locomover pela cidade e para sair dela. Além disso, o o hotel oferece uma experiência de Sake & Beer Tasting à noite, além de snacks à tarde, que é excelente! Uma ótima forma de conhecer bebidas japonesas, e sem custo adicional. Também oferecem uma série de ammenities de graça no lobby que são extremamente úteis para a viagem! Ao todo, uma experiência muito boa, recomendo à todos que queiram conhecer Kyoto.
