They didn't care
Drove 6 hrs arrived at 1:15p she was charging me $25 to check in before 3. I refused since i stayed 3 wks earlier at no extra charge. Another couple said they checked in at 2 no mention of charge. I could not find this anywhere on site called hotels.com they said they could not help with this. The room was not what I booked. Smelly pillows were like hard pads, sink was nearly stopped up, curly hairs in shower carpet got my feet dirty and was wrinkled in lines, shades were screwed up. Back parking lot was flooded, people standing around smoking at the door ways. But the worst part was not letting me check in when I was staying 2 nites, only a few cars in parking lot. Maid told me they had rooms clean early.. the girl at front desk was feeling in charge, didn't care I was a paying customer. They are inconsistant and choosy. This hotel is trying to remodel but businesses don't do well when you don't take care of your customer ..I usually tip well and stay in lots of hotels but you get no tip when you treat me this poorly.
