Great stay

This hotel stay was outstanding! They provided all of the usuals, and plus. They had free toothbrushes and toothpaste, a free comb, makeup removers, etc in the room! They offer free breakfast with a variety of foods to choose from! The staff is very pleasant and helpful! I would come back, whenever I'm in the area! Thank you, for your hospitality!

My go-to spot to lay my head whenever I see friends down in OC. Great location and the family that owns it is very nice. Comfortable and clean.

Motel with a face lift, but still a motel

This is a renovated motel, so with that in mind, I think it's a bit overpriced. The good: pool and hot tub are nice, decor is fine, had a big TV/mini-fridge/microwave in the room. They have a coffee machine in the lobby that makes lattes, cappucinos, etc, and that was above average. The bad: it's a motel, so it was somewhat noisy when people walked by, and there was no privacy unless the blackout curtains were shut. There were some odd design choices, and the one I liked the least was the bathroom sink, which has a spigot where the water runs down an open trough before coming out (see attached picture ... similar to this, but not exactly this). This is gross. How many people have spit in that while brushing their teeth, and how is it cleaned? Aside from the coffee, the breakfast was pretty basic (store bought muffins/pastries, cereal, fruit).

The metal bed frames creaked. If you got out of bed or moved a little bit. It sounds like you’re banging on a metal file cabinet. The walls were thin. Everything else was good. Tv was a nice size, shower was modern, bed matress was firm

Odd smelling room

Good stay overall. Basic necessities were met and it was relatively close to all that the OC has to offer. The only issue was my room smelled awful. Either mold or mildew from the AC, it was a urine-like smell but it was not urine…I do not think…because it did not come from the bathroom which was very clean also the towels were fresh. The bathroom did not smell so I am curious where the awful smell was coming from. Other than that, good stay.
