Started great, ended quite badly
My son and I stayed here for 4 nights when we were in New Orleans for the Super Bowl. It was about an hour outside of the city, but was much more affordable than staying downtown. It was a quiet area which we appreciated after the fun and busyness of our days. The room was kept clean. The included breakfast was a hearty way to start our long days being out and about. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed a yummy dinner at the seafood restaurant on the property. Everything had gone great here until we came back to our room on the last night of our stay. My son’s laptop had been broken, presumably by the housekeeper as we had not requested any other service in our room during our stay. We immediately went to the front desk, but since it was late we were told to talk to the manager the next morning. We did that right away the next morning. She told us that the owner of the hotel was not in his office that morning, but that she would pass our complaint along to him. He has since communicated with my son via email and has refused to offer any financial compensation because the housekeeper has denied doing any damage. It was a very disappointing end to what would have been a wonderful stay.
