AWFUL...nowhere to park initially as there was a function going on...the receptionist very kindly moved her car for us. Room was cold when we arrived as the radiators were turned off completely, restaurant closed due to a function, VERY shabby decor, shower barely a trickle, no hairdryer. Function carried on well into the early hours with shouting and slamming of doors until at least 2/3am. Veggie breakfast was passable. More worrying were the "fire" doors with huge gaps between the door and the frame! And lack of security at the front door. Staff lovely but clearly stretched. Would NOT recommend (unfortuanately we are already booked for next weekend...not looking forwad to that!)

TERRIBLE...Went to check in but told we were allocated a twin room when we booked a double. Room was cold (heating not on), velux window wouldn't close properly, shower barely a trickle, very shabby decor, disappointing porridge, no hair dryer. More worrying were the "fire" doors with massive gaps between the door and the frame. No security so anyone could wander in. Same member of staff as last Saturday, who we couldn't fault and the room allocation wasn't her doing. And to top it all off the price was 50% more than last weekend because of the football!! Would NOT recommend.

A great place to stay at a very good price. Nice room and shower. Fantastic cooked breakfast. Glasgow is just a short train journey away. Recommended.

Hotel molto carino e proprietari gentilissimi
Hotel carino con sia cose positive che negative 😅. Partiamo dai pregi, prezzo molto conveniente, l'hotel è situato in una zona molto rifornita di supermarket e ristoranti senza dover sbattersi troppo per cercare dove poter mangiare qualcosa, parcheggio gratuito e colazione compresa nel prezzo della camera (tra l'altro colazione scozzese, a me è piaciuta😋) in più siete leggermente fuori dal caos totale di una metropoli. La camera è molto grande e il letto è comodo. Cos'è negative, la doccia ci metteva parecchio prima di fare uscire l'acqua calda, e quando finalmente usciva scendeva un filo d'acqua, sufficente per lavarsi però scomoda, in camera non c'era il riscaldamento acceso (e c'erano fuori 13 gradi, che per noi italiani è una temperatura fredda, la invece c'era gente che girava in braghe corte). Conclusione, molte più cose positive che negative, e guardando il prezzo devo dirvi che ci tornerei, anche perché tutto il personale dell'hotel è sempre gentilissimo, stra cordiale e fanno di tutto per accontentare i clienti, verrete trattati come se foste clienti abituali 😊

Conveniently placed, and was quiet around hotel. The room was clean, but the bathroom lacked hooks or somewhere to put toiletries, and was in need of an update. The breakfast was good, full Scottish/ Vegetarian. Overall it was good for the price.

A beautiful old Victorian hotel with tons of charm. Makes you feel like you're staying in a hotel from a hundred years ago, rather than the ultra-processed chains of today. Breakfast was a full Scottish breakfast (with a vegetarian option), which was lovely, and the hotel has a full restaurant and bar. The grounds are a bit unkempt, and the hotel itself is a little out of the way, but otherwise it's a quaint, charming place with an incredible amount of character. I kept expecting to turn the corner and see the ghosts of travelers gone by!

The room was small and the window did not open so the room was a bit stuffy. We had trouble with the shower and the availability of hot water. The scottish breakfast was delicious and the staff very hospitable. The hotel was conveniently located to downtown Motherwell so we were able to walk to the restaurants, pubs and church.

Séjour agréable avec des améliorations possibles
L'accueil et le souci de répondre à nos demandes ont été très agréables. La chambre 303, située sous le toit, était correctement équipée, mais le vasistas ne fermait pas bien, les matelas rappelaient qu'ils avaient des ressorts, la pression de la douche était faible. Ces points pourraient être améliorés, mais nous gardons toutefois un bon souvenir de notre séjour.

Very handy place to stay when we were heading to TRNSMT festival. Right near the train station. Easy check in and check out. Friendly and helpful staff (not always on reception, but made it clear where you could find someone later on if you needed to). Room had what we needed. Decor could do with a tidy up in places in the room/bathroom but was clean. Only issue really was the shower, as that didn't always work and was poor pressure when it did. Breakfast was easy and included in price. Would stay again if we needed to be in the area.

Tired but ok
Lovely breakfast and room was quite clean. The hotel is very tired and the beds very soft. Shower cubicle had no shelf to rest anything. No toiletries provided apart from tiny bar of soap.
