Helt ok, vet ikke helt hva man kan forvente av standard. Fikk bra hjelp til å bestille transport videre til hanoi ihvertfall

A little bit of Paradise
Just finished a nice stay at the Paradise Hotel. The hotel is well located in the area where all the action is. Huge choice of restaurants and shopping all around. Can easily walk to the riverfront or the Imperial Citadel. Bed was comfy. Has TV and AC. Bathroom small but decent. It was quiet. And all for an insanely low price by North American standards. Only wrinkle I had was that the Hotels.com says they have safe at the front desk for customers to use. The one desk girl doesn't speak good English and couldn't seem to understand what a safe was. First I Googled picture of a safes to show her and she somehow thought it was a refrigerator. Then I used Google translate to say what a safe was in Vietnamese but she still looked confused. I mimed putting my wallet and passport in an invisible safe but she still didn't get it. You'd think I was asking for the most difficult thing in the world. So frustrating. Eventually she sort of got it and put my things in a plastic envelope and locked them at the front desk. It ends up the hotel doesn't have any safes either in the rooms or at the reception desk. They have to remove that from the room description because it was a frustrating and highly annoying way to start my day. Also, on the temple and Citadel tour I was sold by the hotel, I was the only Causasian. Everyone else was Asian and spoke in their native tongues to each other. The tour guide spoke English and was excellent but I still felt very alone on the tour. So just be aware.
