We had two rooms for three nights for 5 people. When we checked in, the shower was broken in one of the rooms, and it was only repaired (by a very good caretaker) at 2:30am.
The following day, the bottom of the bathtub cracked in the other room.
When I asked about taxi to the pyramids, their in-house taxi counter offered it for USD30 per person (5×30=USD150 for all five of us).
We opted for an Uber instead, and paid 132 Egyptian pounds (=USD2.60), so they tried to over-charge us 57-fold compared to the Uber. Not a great way to build trust between the hotel and its guests.
The hotel offered us new tooms, but these were much smaller and a downgrade from our current rooms with broken bath tub and leaky shower, so we opted to not switch rooms.
