Very average at BEST.
We paid over $900 for only two nights. When we first arrived, the location had no power. So, for the first several hours we could not charge our phone, access the internet, have coffee, use the A/C, or nearly anything else you can think of. The restaurant food was average yet high in price but worse of all was how long it took to receive it. On one occasion, I order a Pina Collada which took over 30m to get to me. Similarly, on a different instance a meal I ordered took over 40 minutes. The property is well maintained with very pretty views but that was about it. Overall, for the price I paid my stay was extremely dissapointing.

We booked for two nights and left after the first one. The hotel is on a beautiful beach and that is it, its OLD, the whole hotel needs an urgent maintenance and remodeling. staff cant help with anything, you cant eat anything if you are vegetarian/vegan. wouldn’t go back

The property is beautiful and you definitely get the sounds of the ocean. Disappointing that the pool closes at 6pm as there isn't much else to do in the evening unless you leave the property. Seems like a miss as there are mostly adults here.

Wir waren 3 Nächte dort. Strand war wunderbar, Pool kleiner als gedacht aber schön. Abend Essen im Hotel haben wir nicht genutzt weil es außergewöhnlich teuer war. Frühstüxksbuffet war ok aber nicht berauschend für ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Zimmer sehr sauber, der Meerblick fantastisch aber das Meer ist laut, Zustand der Zimmer ist okay. Strand wird leider nicht von herumliegenden Ästen und Kokosnüssen gereinigt warum weiß man nicht..Es gibt einen frechen Leguan und das Highlight war ein Ara Papagei am Pool auf einer Palme. Preis Leistungsverhältnis dennoch für den Zustand des Hotels unserer Meinung nach zu hoch.

This hotel has beautiful grounds and that’s about all it has going for it. The staff was not helpful or willing to serve you. We couldn’t book any excursions. The pools were dirty and so was our room. The restaurants and food were awful! Just awful!! A one and done for us.

We had a really nice time at Tango Mar for a week. The resort is really nice, the staff are very kind, and the food/drinks are delicious. Highly recommend the tortuga snorkeling tour with Juan and Curu wildlife reserve visit with Ernesto (my favorite). The resort is quite isolated so my only change would be to split staying here and somewhere else on the peninsula (ex: Santa Teresa or Samara/Nosara) to get a more diverse experience. Transportation between the two can get quite expensive. Thank you, Tango Mar, Pura Vida!

I have travelled to costa rica many times and this was one of the most exquisite locations I've ever seen, The thundering sound of the ocean waves along with the incredible pink sunrises can not even truly be described with words. Everything was magical and the inclusive breakfast was also very nice. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and it is a place I will be back to soon! The golf course was also great and a good daytime activity for all skill level golfers.

This hotel is a dream to be in. Waking up to the sound of waves, opening your window to a stunning ocean view, lay down in a hammock for a nap, taking a dip in the cool cristaline water. This is what life is all about. The restaurant was not that good, and there are very few dinning options around the area, which was the only part that we felt could use improvement.

Vi hade en fantastisk upplevelse på Tango Mar. Den stora tillgången är platsen. Fin strand med mycket lite människor, bara en kort promenad in i djungeln på stigar såg vi flera olika sorters apor, fåglar, fjärillar och ett vattenfall. Detta är ett lugnt ställe, bra mat, fantastisk service, rent och snyggt. Det finns ings träningsmöjligheter och WiFi är ok.

A lovely sleepy Costa Rican hotel.
A lovely independent hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and it has an old style family atmosphere. It also lies on one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. The food was good and tasty if not a little safe. But the cessar salad made in front of you, was a really surprising win. We were there for two days over new years. On the negatives, we are not golfers or tennis players, so that was lost on us. But there was a lovely waterfall and sunrise/sunset viewpoint attached to the property. Decor could do with a minor facelift and my only critique of the staff is that they could be a little inattentive at times. Although, their warm attitude toward each other also extends to all the guests.
