The young man in the office was kind and understanding.
The room, however, was gross. I had booked a non-smoking room *presuming* it would be smoke-free but it was very not. I have severe allergies to smoke. When I entered the room I was unable to breathe. I knew immediately I would not be able to stay. We also found cockroach carcasses and poop in the drawers of the furniture, there were visible holes on the bedding, and my daughter could see the mold on the shower curtain before even entering the bathroom.
I made the mistake of booking a non-refundable price so I lost my money. I requested a refund but was refused.
I would think if the information provided by the property states "Bel-Air Motel offers smoke-free rooms", then it should be smoke-free. There is no mention any smoking policy or designated smoking areas anywhere on the booking page. Oh, and there are no carpets. In fact, it looked more like a hospital room than a motel room, except it did not look to have even been cleaned before we arrived. Very stark, smelly, and dirty.
