Review for Awa Boutique Hotel Holbox
While the staff provides excellent service and is very attentive, the hotel falls short in several areas. The location is not ideal, situated next to a mangrove and a stream with a very unpleasant smell. My room had multiple issues upon arrival: the air conditioning was broken, there was no minibar, and the shower drain was clogged. Although these problems were eventually resolved, they caused significant discomfort during my stay. The pool is very cold as it is in the shade and should be heated. Additionally, the heated rooftop pool is far too small to accommodate guests comfortably. Overall, the room was not comfortable, and the hotel is in need of better maintenance. It has potential but requires significant improvements to provide a satisfactory experience.

We rented a very expensive room and was under the swimming pool and was a constant noise all night long , was impossible to steep , the other day we was going to leave no one in the hotel had a taxi number that we could call to go to get our ferry was a nightmare to come back to cancum from there! They say you have to tell them you need a taxi one day before, but they told us in the morning we were leave they did not told us when we got there! Food is perfect but none more than that! To expensive for all the issues they have!

Not worth the price or stay
The check in service was great. However, there was no crib when requested prior to trip and overall not family friendly at all. There were not enough chair or bed for us to lounge as they were taking very early and would remain all day. The room continued to have a leak and drainage issue that would flood the room and make it smell awful every day of the visit. We requested a room with a beach view and did not receive it despite the pictures saying otherwise.

Desde que llegamos a el hotel la recepción era muy sucia y sin personal. En el checkout también estuvimos más de 10 Minutos esperando a alguien que lo realizara. La comida muy sucia nos tocó pelos y animales muertos lo cual es inaceptable para mi la verdad cero recomendable y en la habitación teníamos cucarachas. Ojalá mejore porque no es lo que promete tiene mejores opciones en la isla que este hotel en general no vuelo al hotel y no lo recomiendo

I recently stayed at AWA Hotel], and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is unbeatable—right in front of the beach, offering breathtaking ocean views from the moment you step outside. The swimming pool is a perfect spot to relax. There were plenty of loungers and a laid-back atmosphere. The on-site restaurant served great food with a variety of options and overlooking the water was a highlight. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing beach getaway!

We stayed at AWA for one week and it was the most beautiful little hotel. The rooms are very cute with a really unique and cool vibe. The food and service at the beach club Fuego was top notch. Would highly recommend the pizzas, steak taco and shrimp cocktail.. and everything honestly! The staff were so welcoming and accommodating - special shout out to Carlos who was so helpful and went above every day to give us the best service! We also were there during a tropical storm that turned hurricane and this made me very nervous and when I asked for a different room higher up they accommodated my request no problem. They also arranged transportation for my husband and I to and from cancun to the hotel and it was smooth and reliable. Highly recommend this property!

The staff were amazing.room was great, very clean. They need pastries or some sweet rolls on the breakfast menu!! They need to have free coffee in the rooms , not just on the first day! You have to buy them from the front desk at 50 pesos a pod?? It’s a very small thing but it does matter. As a VIP member, I did not receive ANY benefits as promised!!
