Unique hotel with amazing staff

We had an amazing time here for Euro Pride 2025. The hotel is very welcoming and has an amazing friendly staff. While outside of the city center the hotel is located very near the metro which made is easy to get around and there are some great dining options nearby. We would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Lisbon.

Short stay in Lisbon

We stayed for 2 nights and were very comfortable. It doesn't lack for personality and I'd say it was strictly appropriate for over 18s. Vibrant decor and friendly staff! Location wise it's very close to the Metro however it can feel a bit off-the-beaten-path late on as it's just behind the main road.

Great hotel, great service

Staff was amazing , great services always willing to help and recommend things to do. Room was clean and exactly as showed in the website. Couldn't have ask for anything else. Location 10-15 minutes walk to centre, felt safe and always lots of tourist around. Great coffee shop around the corner and of course the amazing Cervejaria Ramiro within walking distance - one of the best seafood restaurant in Lisbon.

Great Hotel

Fantastic stay made better with possibly the friendliest staff I’ve had at a hotel, they are happy to help with recommendations for restaurants, so please make sure you do this if unsure. Location of Upon is good to use as a base to get around - you have a supermarket within a 5 minute walk. Rooms are clean, tidy, spacious, certainly needed when you are going as couple. Bathroom is a good size too. Overall enjoyed our stay and will happily come back again. 5 stars across the board!

J'ai eu du nez ! Une inspiration ! Et je ne me regrette pas ! Superbe hôtel only for adult ;) Le personnel est charmant, accueillant et très pro. Décoration atypique X haaa !!! Je vous le recommande vivement et info pratique ; tres bien situé vs le centre de Lisboa... ca ne grimpe pas beaucoup hihihi !

Great stay, would recommend

What a great hotel! My partner and I stayed here for his 30th and had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made it a really pleasant stay. My only feedback is the lighting in the room is not great for doing make up!

Amazing accommodations and their breakfast was great too. The staff is super friendly and I really enjoyed the laid back vibes - loved the music choice too. Would definitely stay here again if I visit Lisbon again!

We reserved our stay thru Expedia from the USA. We arrived finding the staff is very helpful. It was our first visit in Lisbon and we had various questions which they were able to answer. In big hotels you are just a number. Upon Angels is a smaller boutique hotel where you get the all attention you need. The cleanliness in our room & bathroom was absolutely remarkable!! We had breakfast in house and were impressed with the variety and quality of the breakfast buffet! We'll be happy to refer any friends or family to Upon Angels Hotel.

Da ich mir am ersten von vier Tagen in Lisboa den Knöchel gebrochen habe, war ich die meiste Zeit im Hotel. The decor was amazing. The staff was always on site for you. There were VERY noisey Canadian guest in the pool upon arrival. Front desk staff took care of them. Outside of it taking 4 request to 3 different staff, we finally got more towles...the following day. Everything else was perfect. We would stay there again for sure. The vibe, decor and amenities are well worth it. The neighbourhood is close to a not so safe area but once in a cab you're fine.
