Overall, the hotel in itself is a nice resort. Big, spacious and clean. The staff for the most part were friendly and helpful, but some of them (mostly the female staff) were rather rude and lacking basic customer service protocols. I also had an episode of food poisoning on my second night staying there. I had dinner at the Asian Dragon restaurant on Valentine’s Day, and between 23:00hrs that night and 07:00 the following day, I practically spent that entire period vomiting or with diarrhea in the toilet. It was horrible and scary as I was a lone traveller. By 8am in the morning I had lost so much fluid I could barely get out of bed. I was so weak and dehydrated. I called reception to inform them of my situation and if they can assist me with some room service and provide me some fresh fruits in my room, cos that was all I craved. Their response was that they don’t allow food in the rooms, nor were they prepared to make an exception for a medical condition. I told them I risk infecting others by attending the food serving areas, or worse vomiting all over the place - the smell of food was just overwhelming and nauseating. They barely asked me for any details that led to my illness, nor was there any follow up. I was simply told to wear a mask and come down to get my food in any of the restaurants like every other guest. There was no empathy or consideration for my physical state. Eventually, I had to go off the resort to the pharmacy across the road to get some medications.
