Our experience at Fairfield by Marriott Goa Benaulim was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The property is immaculately maintained with lush green surroundings, a beautiful pool area, and modern, well-appointed rooms that offer comfort and style. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Every interaction—from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant service—was courteous and professional. Special shoutout to the restaurant team for their delicious breakfast spread and the local Goan delicacies that made each meal a treat. Location-wise, it’s just perfect—peaceful and away from the crowds, yet only a short drive to the beach and local attractions. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and experience true Goan hospitality with Marriott’s signature touch. Can’t wait to be back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the hotel. The receptionist, the management and all the staff were excellent and provided us with a very good service. We had a great stay. The property was close the beach and had shops near by. Low cleanliness rating only given as there was a room service tray in the hall near our room for two days. It only disappeared when we requested someone removed it (housekeeping didn't take it away). Restaurant staff were great and check in and out were fast. If we come back to India we would definitely stay again.

Our stay in the Fairfield was exceptional. From the beautiful foyer to the adequately sized and comfortable room, the hotel was very well appointed and provided all requirements. However the outstanding feature was the superb service offered by the staff. There was a high staff/guest ratio. All were smiling, friendly and extremely attentive, most even anticipating our wishes and choices after one asking! Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent property

Such an excellent, beautiful, clean and service oriented property....I am a regular traveler to different parts of the world but this is by far my best stay in all aspects... Benilium beach is 5 min walk and is very clean....hotel offers free shuttle service also to the beach...meals spread is amazing and the kind of service they focus on is commendable...highly recommend....

Wonderful two week stay

Two wonderful weeks stay, the hotel is a perfect location and wonderful pool area. The rooms are very comfortable and good shower, The staff are wonderful a special shout out to the following staff that really were exceptional Esha who looked after us every day at breakfast, Arun who recommended lots of local food to try. Waris and Royston were very accommodating. Also Nikita and Vabrham always smiling and chatting. The breakfast selection of food was excellent so much to try something different each day. The shuttle to the beach was good to have we only used once but good for the older people to get to the beach. Rai the security man always smiling and we chatted to each day when we left the hotel and came back. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, especially in terms of room size and cleanliness. As an international guest, I believe this does not meet Marriott standards; I would sadly compare it to a Holiday Inn in the UK. All the rooms are standard size, which is quite small, and several other reviews have also mentioned this issue. The worst part of our stay was the poor insulation in the rooms. We could hear every single conversation happening in the corridor, and on some occasions, we were woken up at 6 AM by other guests having loud discussions outside our door. If you're jet-lagged, this is not the place to stay. I have stayed in many beach hotels in South Goa, and unfortunately, this one is the worst. The bathroom is very small and felt dirty even after it was cleaned by the staff. The grout is turning black in some areas, and there are signs of rust on the metal fixtures. While the front staff were great and accommodating, it seems the hotel is attracting the wrong type of crowds, especially domestic tourists. Sadly, we will not be returning to this hotel in the future.

Gem of Benaulim

The resort is beautiful with a large pool, great spa and 24 hour gym. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away, and there is a beach transfer available on a motorised rickshaw. The room was cleaned timeously and meticulously every day. The rooms are however very very small and it was a squeeze for 3 travellers who shared one room. Given the pricing of resorts in South Goa though, this hotel is great value for money- if you’re willing to compromise on space. There is a taxi stand outside the hotel, for convenient travel around the region- but- they charge excessive rates especially knowing that you’re staying at the Marriott.

Improvements needed. Honest review.

As a Gold member of Marriott Bonvoy, I expected more from my 8-night stay at Fairfield by Marriott in Benaulim, but the experience fell short in several key areas. Membership Recognition: There was no noticeable benefit to being a Gold member. Despite available upgrades, none were offered. The booked balcony room was downgraded to a ground-floor patio, which was disappointing. Rooms: Comfortable for two, but interiors show wear despite the hotel being built in 2020. Regular maintenance is needed. Housekeeping: Cleaning was adequate, with daily replenishment of amenities. Spa: Convenient and staffed by friendly professionals, offering a relaxing experience. Bar Service: Disappointing service at Azul pool bar and main bar. The bartender was often on the mobile phone and inattentive. A more professional and guest-focused attitude is needed. Restaurant Staff & Food: The restaurant team, particularly Arun and Nikita, was exceptional. Freshly cooked breakfast omelettes were a highlight. Hygiene: Restaurant hygiene requires improvement. Twice, I was served glasses with lipstick stains, and other guests had similar complaints. Guest Feedback: Feedback was solicited only a day before checkout. Engaging guests earlier would allow issues to be addressed during their stay. Check-Out: Smooth and efficient, ending the stay on a positive note. While there were positives, this hotel will not be my choice for future stays. There are better options between Benaulim and Varca.
