The Story Figueira has a good location which is fairly convenient for getting around. We had a horrible experience with the hotel in that the first night when we checked into the hotel, my husband was so tired that he felt asleep on the bed (without lifting the top bedsheet) and I didn't want to wake him up so I didn't turn on any lights and just lifted the bedsheet and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up i felt something on the bedsheet, I tough it and saw a couple of brown spots on my side of the bedsheet. I initially though its chocolate but then when I turned on the light and blinds I realized that it's feces. I got furious and went downstairs and told the receptionist. She asked me why I did not find out the night before and I explained to her the reason. She sent a couple of ladies from housekeeping and I took pictures and asked them to change all my pillow cases and sheets. My husband and I had to wash all our underwears, pyjamas and wipe down all the headboards, coffee tables, faucets etc. I then spoke to the hotel manager Alfonso Santos, front office manager in person and in whatsapp. I am shock that Mr. Santos did not even apologize but simply said the sheets have been changed. I then whatsapp the contact on the hotel card and he responded saying that the hotel offers "impeccable" standard of service and he "firmly stands by his staff and company". My husband and I own businesses in Canada and we would never ever treat our customers this way.
